i can't really think of anything it would improve other than a squat based event. you probably wouldn't be able to do much conditioning during the base cycle,but it's only 3 weeks so who knows.

The best way to improve on events is to just do the events. Smolov is designed for powerlifters, not strongmen. As nice as it is to know your squat will increase, unless you're squatting in competition, it'll just be a hell of a lot of unnecessary squatting.
