Blue Gene Feedback
I did have an unusually awesome pump in my quads and hammies. They felt rock hard and HOOUUUGGGEEEE!!!11!!!
Other workout feedback
I know my leg workout seems weak and kind of all over the place, and it is. My strength is very down compared to where I was before this damn knee problem. So, I stick with light weights and try to get a good pump going. That's about all I can do for now.
Blue Gene Dosage
5 pills 1 hour preworkout
Side not: Because of my knee all my leg workouts will be hypertrophy for a while. I don't want to reaggrivate my knee before it's had time to heal. Hopefully I can get some starting pics up today or tomorrow.Last edited by UWBodybuilding; 08-14-2009 at 07:25 PM.

Day Two
Taking the day off today. It's just that time in my workout rotation that I have. My legs aren't very sore today at all. I'm having a fun time packing all my stuff up to move into my first apartment tomorrow on campus! Took my serving of Blue Gene at about 3:00 P.M. today. I'm going to try to take the dose the same times on off days as I do on workout days, for the sake of getting my body used to it. Tomorrow will be Back Hypertrophy, one of my favorites

Aight
Day 3/4 wearing my Blue Genes
Yesterday ended up being an off day because I moved into my first apartment. I was going to do back and bis after that, but it felt like I had dead lifted already, lol! Moving tvs, bed, tables, etc. I was pretty toasted. Any my apartment doesn't have AC yet, so I was roasting! Just took it easy the rest of the day, took a shower, chilled with friends. I did take my Blue Gene though, at about 2 in the PM. About 1.5 hours before and after a meal. Now, onto a REAL update...
Day 4 (today's) Workout: Back/Bis
Warm up and cool down are now my 30 minute round trip walk to the gym
Deads
135 X 12
225 X 12
275 X 12
295 X 12 <--PR!
Never had much of an endurance when it comes to dead lifts. I think what hindered me a little bit is my grip. I've got some mad callas on my hands. I still haven't figured out how to use straps either so, I'm doing these raw. Oh well, glad I got the PR!
Hammer Grip Pull Ups
3 sets: 10, 5, 6
Need to lose some weight so these aren't so hard, LOL
T-Bar Rows (machine)
45 X 12
90 X 8
70 X 12
Do not like Pressing my stomach and nuts on the bar hurts. My rubs get crunched. Just not a fun experience. I'm going to be down these with a barbell from now on.
Barbell Curls
45 X 12
65 X 12
85 X 12
95 X 8
I'm not sure whether or not to call this a PR because I have technically curled this much before, but not with the best of form. I cleaned my form up a while ago and the weight is creeping back up. Either way, I was really happy. I almost stopped after the 85 pound set. Then I said, "screw it, you got another one in you." I cranked it out. Good stuff.
Lat Pull Down
120 X 12
144 X 12
156 X 8
Cleaned up my form on these too. Not so much rocking and also a wider grip, trying to really focus on the lat squeeze.
Seated EZ Preacher Curls
70 X 12
70 X 10
Drop Set
60 X 12
40 X 12
This was an awesome exercise, which I will elaborate more on later.
FST-7 Seated Rows
156 X 12
156 X 12
156 X 12
144 X 12
144 X 12
132 X 12
132 X 12
I could have gone heavier on this, but my grip was too roughed up. My callas hurt so much. It was still good too.
FST-7 Standing Front Bicep Pose Exercis?? Idk, but it's the one with cables and you pull them to your head
24 X 12
24 X 12
24 X 12
24 X 12
24 X 12
24 X 12
24 X 12
Workout and Blue Gene Feedback
I made the right decision to take another day off, because otherwise my dead lifts would have been crap. After I got the PR, I new it was going to be a good day.
Now, until now I wasn't exactly sure what Blue Gene was doing, if anything. Well, I now know that my last workout was not a fluke. Blue Gene is the BEST pump product I have ever used. It's not specifically designed for that, but that's the way it hits me. Especially after EZ Bar curls, my biceps were larger than they had ever been in my life. They were also defined! It was weird having a pumped but also defined muscle. The final way I knew BG had pumped me past previous points (nice alliteration) was when I did the seated rows after preacher curls. My biceps were getting in the way during this exercise. They were so pumped that they were hitting my chest as I pulled the weight back! It was hilarious in my mind.
Sorry for all the ranting, but this was the best pump I've ever gotten, and I am becoming more and more of a believer in Blue Gene. If tomorrows chest day shows the same results as the last two days, I'll now for sure
Next, I thought I'd outline my diet more specifically than I have been. So, I'm going to post everything I eat in the next couple of days.
Day 4 Eatz: Mind you, this is the first time I'm buying only the groceries I want
Woke up around 9 - took some Xtend and my 5 Blue friends
930 - ate breakfast/pre workout meal: 2 packets of oatmeal (1 cinnamon and 1 blueberry), 10-12 oz of skim milk and 2 scoops of protein
Intraworkout - 2 scoops Intrabolic and 5g creatine mono
PWO meal at about 1 - 2 packets of oatmeal, 10-12 ounces of milk, 1/4 pint of blueberries, and 2 chicken breast (50g of protein)
Right now - I'm sipping on some Mulberry Tea at a cafe Have to wait until my cable and internet get's hooked up in my new padLast edited by UWBodybuilding; 08-17-2009 at 12:40 PM.

Seated Dumbbell Military Press
25 X 12
45 X 12
50 X 12

I just kept going heavier and heavier, it was amazing. My delts were super sore, but I kept going up in weight and kept performing how I wanted to. Excellent.
Flat Dumbbell Bench Press Quickly Turned Into Flat Dumbbell Flies
75 X 12 (bench press)
40 X 12
50 X 12
50 X 12
After the first set of bench press I new I wouldn't be able to do much at all in future sets. My shoulders and chest were so sore, they just wouldn't cooperate, lol.
Skull Crushers
80 X 12
90 X 12
100 X 10
Dumbbell Lateral raises
15 X 12
20 X 12

V-Bar Press Down
132 X 12
144 X 12
156 X 12
FST-7 Cable Crossover
24 X 12
29 X 12
36 X 12
36 X 12
36 X 12
36 X 12
29 X 12
This whole exercise was a PR. I can't even explain how much my weight went up in this. Here is my FST-7 Cable Crossover the last time I did it:
20 X 12
25 X 12
20 X 12
20 X 12
15 X 12
15 X 12
15 X 12
WTF is going on!?! My weights went up crazily, and I was able to maintain it for multiple sets!!
FST-7 Single-Arm Push Down
36 X 12
41 X 12
41 X 12
41 X 12
41 X 12
36 X 12
36 X 12
36 X 12
Feedback
I don't know wtf is going on, but I'm loving it!! My stamina was amazing today, most notably on the cable crossover FST-7 set. I was able to do more weight multiple sets in a row (FST-7 exercises have 30 seconds rest between sets, fyi). Simply amazing. I literally took 30-45 seconds between each set today because I felt energized, focuses, and ready to lift...I didn't want to wait around! Considering my short rests, my strength was great today.
Oh, and of course, the pump today did not fail. My chest was huge and rounded, my tris were bulging. Truly the BEST PUMP PRODUCT I have ever used. Now that the stamina has kicked in as well, I'm not denying the idea that this may be the best product I have ever used in my life. Thanks so much Controlled Labs.
Still 3+ weeks to go

Lol, damn front squats.
Box Squats

Leg Press Calf - 6 plates X 12, 8 X 12, 10 X 12
Seated Calf - 90 X 12, 140 X 12

Dumbbell Lunges
35 X 12
35 X 12
My knee started acting up a little and I really didn't want to strain it anymore.
Feedback
Terrific stamina and recovery today! Truly amazing. I took 60 seconds or less between sets and cranked out a couple of PRs. Almost every exercise was heavier than all summer because my knee is getting better. Amazed and so happy at how productive this lifting session was today.
One thing that did puzzle me. With my past workouts with Blue Gene, more volume, and shorter rests, why did I not have an incredible pump
It was a pretty average pump, but a great lift, so I don't care
Diet
Diet has been on point, son!
Macros from yesterday:
Calories: 2658
Fat: 56
Carbs: 275
Protein: 274
A nearly perfect 40/40/20 ratio. Although, I think I missed something...my calories are really low...
Macros for today (I know what I'm going to eat later):
Calories: 3007
Fat: 59
Carbs: 256
Protein: 312
Protein is up a bit because I ate a lot of fat free cheese, lol. Great stuff though.Last edited by UWBodybuilding; 08-19-2009 at 05:27 PM.

Of course I have heard of East Troy, through wrestling actually, lol. I'm trying to think of the really good wrestler you guys had. Made it to state the last couple of years and placed high last year. Edward something...not sure. But yeah, I make it to state every year because I live about a 10 minute walk from the Kohl Center
Thanks for the box squats. My ass is sure burning today, lol! I'm definitely going to be able to go heavier. I just wasn't sure the first time.
My gym doesn't have a box either. I just used one of those free benches that people do Dumbbell stuff on. Just dragged it right into the rack.
Stay in contact man, maybe we can meet each other when/if you come to state in March.
Any idea where you want to go to college? *cough* Madison *cough*

Day 7: 25% Complete
Today is a scheduled off day and do I ever need it! Upper back is still really sore from my seated rows, chest and tris can't be flexed very long without cramping up, and my ass and quads are really feeling the burn! Feels awesome.
I'm going to go ahead and declare that this has been the best sequence of 3 workouts I've ever had. Good energy, good pump, great focus. I couldn't ask for much more. I'm so glad that Controlled Labs let me this for them. It was a good journ....WAIT! 3 MORE WEEKS

Lol, I was almost going to complain that you weren't showing up in my log!!
Great product, brah.
Being back at school helps a ton. Now that I'm completely on my own, I can focus on what I really love. Leaning up really nicely since I only eat the healthy food that I buy for myself and because I can push myself like never before in the weight room. *Blue Gene* cough

135 X 6
155 X 6
175 X 6
185 X 6
195 X 6
I recently started doing this exercise with a bigger range of motion, so I'm not sure if I set any records. I'm sure I would have if I had always been doing this properly
Reverse Grip Pull Down
144 X 6
168 X 6
192 X 6
216 X 3 <--PR!
PRed in weight. Previous PR was 200 X 6
T-Bar Row NOT MACHINE LOL

65 X 6
85 X 6
105 X 6

Big PR on curls this week. This is the one exercise I do every session of back and bis, and this was definitely a record

156 X 6
168 X 6
180 X 6 <--Previous PR
192 X 3 <--PR!
PRed in weight again. This was my last back exercise in the workouts, so it's pretty cool that I was able to lift this heavy all the way at the end.
Standing Dumbbell Curls
35 X 6
40 X 6
45 X 6
50 X 6
55 X 3 <--PR!
PR in weight.
Feedback
I usually do a couple more exercises, but I felt that my volume and weights were sufficient and that another 2 exercises wouldn't get me anywhere really. Glad I did. I feel awesome after this workout. Kinda euphoric in my back. It's weird. Don't feel destroyed at all.
Don't know if I'll be able to post later, but you can bet my diet is super duper

Ahh yes Dave Edwards was my wrestling partner xD, Kesslehon/Zess where also the ones you where probably thinking of.
On box squats aren't you supposed to go slightly under parallel though? Thats what was stopping me :/
I will, my log is all about trying to make it to state next year, this year i got impetigo twice (once mid season, then again real bad a couple days before regionals ) Perhaps you could give me some advice on what lifts I should add in? That would be greatly appreciated
And as far as college, i cant afford Madison, and they dont offer the field I am looking to attain (IT comp administration+Network security) So the only college's I had around here was St.Cloud where my sister is a Soph at, and Herzing in Madison, but that one was out because i would have to get an apartment and we cant afford that :/
Im glad youve been having really great lifting sessions! I just got some new supps so I'm pretty excited about using them
Stay strong -Work

Ah, I do remember Zess as well.
I'm definitely going to follow your log.
I hear you on the cost of college. I'm doing it though loans, lol. Expensive stuff.
Update my Blue Gene experience today. I took the pills in the morning like I always do, but to my dismay, my gym was closed in the morning and I couldn't make it their all day. Lots of apartment stuff going on. Finally got internet and cable TV! So, I'm hitting chest tomorrow and pick up where I left off. That means Chest, Legs, Off, Repeat. Take it easy fellas.
