I got mine off a few weeks back… and won't put it back on. Far too difficult.
Might consider resizing it at some point - it's really not a big thing over here in Korea.I don't lift weights, I flex under duress.

I haven't had any problems lifting with my ring. I don't even notice it. On my heaviest lifts I use straps, but even on the heaviest unstrapped lifts it doesn't pinch or cause any trouble. I've lost nearly 30 lbs on my cut, but it doesn't come off any easier - I must retain fat in my fingers!

Don't wear it
The few times I tried lifting while wearing my wedding band I ended up bending the crap out of it. Now I take it off and clip it on my keyring. Sometimes I even remember to put it back on.
I recently lost 50 lbs and my wedding band doesn't fit very well. It is too big and slips off easily. That may be part of the reason I don't always remember to put it back on.

Wrecked my ring finger pretty bad in the gym because of my ring a couple of years ago. After that started taking it off when I went to the gym. Wife was afraid I would lose it so she got me a silicone wedding band. Have been wearing it for a few months and it's working out well. Since then I have noticed some pro athletes wearing them as well.
