Just curious. I googled it and I saw some ppv stuff. Is it ever televised or streamed over the internet - not pay-per-view? I think I'd like to watch.

It is not on Pay per view. It is live on Webcast . You can access it through our website at www.mrolympia.com and there is a link Webcast Hardbody Entertainment you go to, to watch it.

It will definately be broadcast over this site through a feed.
Usually Chic or some other highlighted name creates a thread with the link as the event approaches.Keymaster of platinum accounts

I am still hoping to make it to Vegas and watch it in person this year, but if not I will be watching on the computer for the first time as well...Can anyone elaborate on how detailed the coverage is, when watching on the computer? Are there cameras back stage, any interviews, prejudging coverage, etc?

All the sponsors repeatability say they are striving to push the sport of bodybuilding, why dont all the financial heads of those sponsors, BB.com, MD, Gaspari, Flex, MM, ect ect pool an amount together and get this 1 show on ppv.
ESPN has focused on basketball, football, baseball, for the past 5 years, and its not going to change anytime soon.

You guys are all forgetting the real reason its not televised.......
Because ESPN only wants to broadcast real sports............. like the world series of poker. It doesn't matter how many feathers you stick up your butt, you'll never be a chicken.
And it doesn't matter how much synthol you use, you'll never be a bodybuilder.

it's the drug stigma.. no network wants to have that on their hands.. in a way i rather keep it like that due to the fact that more exposure could mean more negativity in the sport.
but then again, theres a place in my heart where I wanna be able to turn ESPN and watch the final pose down.. that would be sick...
But i guess you can't have it all

Yeah its a serious sport i was referring to the ifbb judging...which often is a joke
WWE is televised because it brings in revenue for the network and ratings even though the content is a joke. BBing will not. Its already been as popular as it will ever get probably late arnie era and 80s. The O used to be on ESPN even in the 2000s."Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough; we must do."

yea true... but if someone invested the money it could become quite popular...
if there was a more of a grand prix style comp with points ala moto GP then it would gain quite a following i believe... just a matter of someone destroying the strangle hold the IFBB holds over all its athletes...I wish it lasted, forever.
