Question: does it matter if your partner wants to do one thing and you want to do another? For example, this next time, I might be looking for recomp/transformation instead of bulking and suppose my partner wanted to bulk, would that be an issue or would it be more of the combined overall efforts?

oh yea i'd be in for a bulk!!
another thought, maybe teams should be randomly assigned?"We Spartans are said to be descended from Hercules himself. Taught never to retreat, never to surrender. Taught that death in the battlefield in service to Sparta is the greatest glory he could achieve in his life. Spartans, the finest soldiers the world has ever known." ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ!!

While thats good to do, remember everyone is different and responds to different things, someone may utilize a higher carb diet better than their partner, and how would they know over the course of 12 weeks without knowing anything about them prior to the contest ya know? Diet and training should be based on the individual and knowing what works best for them IMO. It would be hard to read someone and totally change everything they do, and then see it backfire on them.

I thought of random assigned teams too, but I can see that backfiring.
I'd like to pick someone I know at least a little bit, have read some of their posts, etc and know they're on the same page as me when it comes to motivating each other - even if we don't have the same goals.
I would hate to get stuck with someone who I don't know, and have them drop off the face of the interwebz and not being able to get a hold of them to get them back in gear!
Maybe I'm just pessimistic, lol. Cause on the other hand, it would be a neat way to make a new friend.
What if we submitted a little bio with our goals/philosophy and got matched with someone? So it'd be kinda... half random, lol. Or is that too girly?
That sounds like a lot of work, but I'd be willing to volunteer to do matchmaking! (but only if I can still compete.. heh heh heh)

LOL!!
The one thing I would have to think about is what if I assigned people to each other and one of them drops out. What would the person staying in the contest do?
If you pick your own partner then I am out of the loop on it and I don't have to worry about it.
Lots of thinking to do about this one.*RCSS Rep*

Caught up on the reading and really looking to do some damage in the upcoming contest! I think we should pick our own teamates just for the fact that it would really help with a motivational purpose being with someone you know and really want to suceed. Just a thought

thanks! Also, I don't like the randomly assigned teams cause there are not many people out there that are as motivated as me and I don't liked getting dragged down by something I can't control. Also, there were alot of people that dropped out of the last contest. What if your partner drops out? Then you're screwed. So, you want ot pick someone that is reliable.

100% agree, i would hate to get assigned someone who drops out after a few weeks, or randomly just disappears. That would really make you either drop out or carry the entire load. Rules are rules and if George enforces it you have to live with it because it would be the "fairest" way. You have to look at this from both sides from the judges and personal view. I am in favor of picking a partner as well.
I think George would also agree with Jenny on the introduction video again, as another small contest.
