Is it more important to meet calorie requirements or to get in all your grams of fat and protein when on the keto diet? And does it matter if the fats are essential or saturated?

A stupid question is a question not asked.
I think you should meet your fat intake because that is replacing your carbs for energy. If you don't it can really slow your metabolism down. Although I had a low calorie week, this week I insured I got sufficient fats to make it through my workout routine.
Protein doesn't have to meet the LBM ratio but take in consideration what can happen if you cut too much.
Need protein to feed muscle
Body might grab muscle for energy especially if your dietary fats are low for immediate energy.
Too much protein can create unnecessary glucose in your body because 53% of protein will turn to glucose anyway. Kind of a back up your body does when you cut carbs. So eat LBM or less in protein.
