Is a protein shake enough for breakfast every morning?

For a long time I thought it was good for me in the morning. But do I need more solid protein in the morning?

    2 Scoops Muscle Milk
    1 Banana
    Strawberries
    Yogurt
    Milk

Blend and Serve. Comes out to around 700 calories, 50 grams of protein, not sure how many carbs.

This is such rubbish advice... it depends on macro's(macro-nurtrients i.e. how many grams of fat/protein/cabs per meal) how much protein is in 2 scoops? if ur serious about gaining i'd reccommend 50 grams of protein per meal. Amount of carbs depends if ur on a bulk or a cut. and fat plays a key role in any bodybuilding diet. Breakfast is one of the three most important meals for a bodybuilder as your body is in a catabolic state as it has not been fed nutrients for several hours so ensure you load up on food. your body consumes mores nurtients in the morning than any other time in the day so make your carbs/fat/protein content higher here.

You should always add carbs for breakfast. I'm on a low carb diet and one of my meals with carbs is always at breakfast. I eat one cup of steelcut

I've tried this before and it's disgusting. Is there a way to do this so you're not actually chewing your shake?

I use Arrowhead Mills Oat Flour, blends well, but will settle out some if you let it sit too long.

That should be good for Carbs, The banana is a great breakfast food. I'd also throw in a Cup of Quaker Oats and get rid of the strawberries and yogurt if it was me though!

I'd add in some oats like has been said, but i'd also put in some fats too. Peanut butter is good, and flax seed will get you your omega's.

Looks good to me, has carbs, fats, protein, if it fills op up and satisfies his macros, he is all set. It doesn't matter at all, the important thing is he is breaking the fast and starting his day off right.

You can drink 1000g protein in the morning, your body can only process and utilize only so much, what is it, like 10g per hour or so?
