When I started working out at 17 I was 6’1 120 lbs. most girls weighed more than me in high school and I got tired of feeling like I was a tall slim figure so I took matters into my own hands and went hard in the gym for 5 years, sometimes going 20 days without a rest day. I’d say on average I went to the gym 6 days a week. I got strong really fast and put on record weight in my first year. The next 3 years I dedicated to sculpting my foundation. I am now very happy with where I stand and people always ask me to train them even though I’m not a certified personal trainer. I recently launched an Instagram account @bodysight where I break down the science and anatomy of lifts as a backdrop to videos of me actually performing some exercises. Check it out if you want.
My question for this thread is do you think I lucked by starting off skinny? Sometimes I like to think about what would it be if I didn’t have to start by putting on weight and instead what if I had to shed weight? It may have been easier to transform into muscle and I could have ultimately been much more built.
