Thumbs up 6 Pack Wash Board Abs - The Secret To 6 Pack Abs

Everywhere you turn, someone's promising the next hot secret to getting 6 pack abs. Some of these so called 'secrets' have some degree of truth, while others, not so much. Deciphering which are the best methods to getting 6 pack abs is going to be critical to your having success with this goal.
The biggest area you need to focus on when trying to obtain hot looking abs is going to be on your diet. Like it or not, the old saying that 'abs are made in the kitchen', is probably one of the most truthful statements in the body building industry. If your diet isn't in line, your stomach is going to show it.

So, what should you be doing with your diet?

First, ensure you are getting enough protein. Not only is protein going to form the key building blocks you need to get muscle tissue, but it's also going to provide you with a better feeling of fullness than eating just carbohydrates alone would for example. Protein is more "expensive" than any other macronutrient meaning that your body will burn more calories breaking down protein compared to carbs and fats.

Next, don't be afraid of dietary fat that comes from primarily monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats such as olive oils, fish oils, a mix of nuts, natural peanut butter and avocado. While it's true that eating fat will increase your calories fast, as long as you keep it between 20-30% it can be one of the best things to get 6 pack abs fast. The important point here is that dietary fat helps keep your insulin level stable, which, when high enough can actually cause fat gain itself.

Furthermore, dietary fat will keep you feeling the fullest for the longest duration; longer than both protein or carbohydrates would. However some diets high in fat can get you 6 pack abs fast because your body learn to metabolize fat for energy.

So, while you do need to watch it, be sure you are getting some in your diet.

Finally, when it comes to carbohydrate intake and getting awesome looking 6 pack abs, you want to focus most of your carbohydrate intake around the post workout period.

    Why is that?

The biggest reason for this is when your body is going to need those carbohydrates the most and will really suck them up into the muscle tissue. When you eat them at this time, it is least likely that they will turn into body fat.

Additionally, consuming carbohydrates during this period will also help to aid with muscle recovery and repair, so that means less down time from the gym for you.

If getting 6 pack abs fast is your goal than each meal you have should consist of 1-2 cups of raw vegetables to control insulin levels, improve absorption of your protein and flood your body with vitamins, minerals, fiber and antioxidants.

So, if you are aiming to get 6 pack abs in the coming months, have a good hard look at your diet. That is the big secret that must not be overlooked if you are to succeed.

    yes but....

this is one great way for some people, but for those of you that do not get the same luxury as being able to make your own diet and are always on the road working like i am and only get 2 days off a month sometimes you probably find yourself eating out alot, the fast food, and all that nasty ****,

anyways there is a solution there, dont eat the biggest thing on the menu and then when you get home that night go do your chest work out, or you back, or whatever you are doing that night at the gym or your house, and then when you think you are done your not
and make sure that you have taken a really good no2, or energy booster before your workout so that you have enough left over energy, take a 5 minute water break and then start an interval training i'll let you decide what workouts do while interval training fo 10 minutes but instead of so many pushups mix more abs and legs in there in there, do this for two weeks and let me know the difference, in waist size and abs

agree up into focusing most of your carbohydrates into post workout area. I have had better results from increasing carbohydrate before workout. Also I think the effects of insulin spiking post workout are highly overated, I have had better results sticking with whole foods after workout, (no need in downing 60 grams of fast acting carbs, if your pre workout nutrition is on point.)

    ChzKmt 6 pack abs method

Good points bro! Here is the method that worked for me:

One of the best ways to lose belly fat is to do weighted abs. Weight abs , help to make you abs muscles budgle out more.

Another VERY important factor is your diet.Eating six small meals a day is very helpful. Try to eat most of your carbs and fruits in the morning so you have time to burn the fight.

    Example:

    8:00 Carb / Protein / Fruit
    10:00 Carb / Protein /
    11:30Carb / Protein /
    1:30 Protein /Vegtable
    3:30 Protein /Vegtable
    5:00 Protein / Vegtable
    8:00 Light snack

Who is "VictorMuscleboi" anyway? That was his first and only post to this website, and all he did was cut & paste an article written by Vince DelMonte. And the article is just an advertisement for a book anyway... as if we need as book to tell us what we already know :/

I totally agree with this. I tried downing those fast carbs for about a month, and I really didnt see a great difference. The only way I would do that again is if I had a tremendously hard cardio workout. Didn't seem to work much for me with lifting...

    Here's my newbie question:

Does cardio also burn muscle? And if it does, doesn't it defeat my goal of increasing muscle size?

I want the thin, defined waistline and abdominal wall, but I also want to increase upper body size...can I do both? Thank you for your patience in answering my question.

Yes , the ides behind this is to have a balanced healthy diet , but as the same time a diet that will help you lose fat. You get all of your carbs and sugar in the mornings. This will give you the energy that you need to make it through the day. Near the afternoon and end of the day you eat mostly your meats and veges . In order to get the protein , vitamans and minerals you need. I think that the time of day of what you eat is very important. I know that I am not the most toned guy on there , but without sounding like I have a big head, I am pretty cut.

I want the thin, defined waistline and abdominal wall, but I also want to increase upper body size...can I do both? Thank you for your patience in answering my question.
Some people say that it does , but I really dont know man. I think that it may be different for everyone . The reason I say this is because I have put on some muscle mass , but I dont INTENSE cardio twice a day , 5 days a week. (I do running and heavy bag work in the mornings , on top of weights and I train Muay Thai 5 days a week at night).

Try lifting heavy on your upper pecs and doing weighted abs. That is what works for me. Also diet is VERY important. No diet (in most cases) no abs.

not like it's a huge mystery, but you burn more fat in the morning than at night so its acceptable to eat carbs early and not late
