Sucks about the weather, I really hate when that happens. You know, I'm not sure why I didn't try going higher than 135 honestly, I should have. Lol I do try to be active, like I've said before I just honestly enjoy going cycling more than sitting around watch TV or something.
Hard to get excited for arms lol
Haha I havent done BB shrugs in so long and have never done them consistently really. Oh I have so many sweets right now as I just went grocery shopping. Behold:
Limited edition Root Beer Float ice cream, soooo good.
Haha I haven't even seen hail in a decade much less be hit with it!
Haha well I did just get back from the ride when I typed that, absolutely exhausted lol.
Thanks man, life is good now. I'm a bit sad as I know summer is ending and the days are getting shorter. Going to suck in the winter as it will be dark out by the time I get out of work at 4:30ish[Official] San Diego Brah

8/16/2009 - A.M. - Bike Ride
Thoughts: Was planning to tennis in the A.M., rode out to the courts and then my buddy texted me saying he got called into work. Decided to ride some more since I was already out, legs felt surprisingly good after yesterday. Needed to see where my swimming endurance was at so I did that for the first time in a few months this afternoon - went pretty awesome actually. Got some massive eating to do as usual.
Time: 70 Minutes
Distance: 25.2 Miles
8/16/2009 - P.M. - Swimming
Time: 45 Minutes
Distance: ~1.25 miles
Additional Activity: A lot of handywork helping to build a deck, ran 1.5 miles w/ pooches

yeah I agree with you. I don't watch tv much and would rather be active all the time. you do the swim nonstop or do you switch up strokes, do intervals, etc..?
and now that I'm following your journal gonna keep calling you out on those lifts to up the ante... definitely riding a great streak right now so great time to push yourself even more (unless the goal is hypertrophy of course). next time 155lb+ on military, eh?

Swim was nonstop indeed - and in the ocean no less!
I need the push so its appreciated. I'd like chest hypertrophy but I'm pretty content w/ everything else. 155 would be a pretty big leap for me, PR status.
Thanks man and yes, pretty much.
Today is the first day I'm under 6k in a week I think
Indeed Andy, I'm a big fan of handy work so I volunteered to help. Eating more cals daily now than I ever have, not even close really lol.
Weather this past week is similar, since Thursday last week its been 90+ and really humid. I actually like this kind of weather for training.
I did one in May, doing one Saturday as well.
I didn't always have this endurance, you can definitely build it up if you stick with it.
I live in a small town in CT, I'm near the Mystic/Groton CT area. Its in southeastern CT, I'm like 5 miles from the CT/RI border.[Official] San Diego Brah

8/17/2009 - Lower
Thoughts: Solid lower day, up 5lbs to 210 on the front triples and they were easier this week than last, good sign. Got 230x1 no problem too, nearing my PR of 250. Was sort of dragging ass but once I got my first set of 210x3 it fired me up, proceeded to have a good lower day. Kind of ended the day on a sour note, was feeling good cycling and then hit the f'n nail. Luckily I was right by my bike store so I have it repaired but it was too dark to continue riding by the time it was fixed. Got it fixed for free though as a kid who works there is dating a girl I know pretty well, knowing sluts FTW!

God bless the sluts!
Good to see you are improving on the front squats. I too enjoy the humid weather when I'm lean and in great condition, it seems to allow you to push yourself into a threshold not available in cooler temperatures.Fitness Journal:

Yeah it is rough. Sometimes I wonder what my #'s would be if I didn't do cardio. Not that would ever happen as everything I do is for fun not to exercise but I am curious[Official] San Diego Brah

P.M. - 8/18/2009 - Basketball
Time: ~2 hours (30 minutes of shooting around, 90 minutes full court games)
Additional Activity: 2 mile run w/ dogs
Honestly I've wanted 225 on the bench for a year+ easy and probably wanted it more than any lift besides the 3 plate squat. Did my triples at 210 (which were surprisingly easy as I was struggling with 205 a couple weeks ago) and decided what the hell, why not. Got it up and down with 0 problems, didn't even get stuck. Spotter (who did nada) said it looked like I could probably get 3 with it - I think a solid 2.5. Could of sucked the rest of the day and I wouldn't care just because I got 225 finally. However, rest went awesome as well. Almost to the stack on the WG pulldowns and rows continue to climb, good stuff. Was going to ride my bike to the bball courts and back but decided I have enough going on already today.[Official] San Diego Brah

EPIC day there.
Finally got your white whale huh?
Very good work, nailed those pulldowns as well. Doing all that lifting and then some bball + running is a very active day indeed. Aren't you working these days too? Are you just working out and working all day or something?Fitness Journal:
