Calorie info on foods/packages sold in supermarkets always correct?

My understanding is that the law allows anything < 5 calories to be labeled as 0 calories per serving. Also, the nutritional info is correct by weight but not necessarily by serving size. That was worded poorly, but here's an example: if 2 slices of bread is 120 calories, and the weight listed is 45g. However, if you weigh the bread, it may be 40-50g because of inconsistencies with each slice, so those 2 slices could be anywhere between 106-133 calories. Or at least, that's how I thought it worked, I could be talking out of my ass...
