Old post, but I have this bench too. It's a fantastically solid bench for incline work. Pads were trashed on mine, so I made 12" wide ones with a less ridiculous pad gap, but it's still large by powerlifting princess standards. with some plywood gusset plates to tie some of the joints together those would be far more strong and sturdy than the basic squat stands that everyone comes here to ask about.
I was gonna construct a power rack from wood before I bought my titan t3 for around $150 more than I could have built it out of wood.
