With all the threads "is this a good deal" I figured we should have one to LOL at ads that are NOT a good deal.
THis guy is a real dreamer. Notice the $20 hollow dumbbell handles? If he paid 1700 for these then he got raped :

Unrealistic sellers on craigslist have become a pet peeve of mine. Great thread.
This guy has been trying to sell this dip stand literally for 6+ months, at this price:
http://seattle.craigslist.org/est/spo/1173757471.html
I went to look at this item 6 months ago. The Problems: 1) He lives a long way out from any cities, in a small town. It was a long drive. 2) The dip stand he is selling IS NOT the one he has a link to in his ad. I told him what he was selling is not what he had pictured in the ad. Needless to say, i was a bit pissed at driving all that way for an item he didn't actually have. (3) He has continued for the last 6 months to sell the same item without updating to an accurate picture, and (4) he apparently will not lower the price below $100, so keeps posting, and reposting, and reposting....Last edited by leonard1; 05-16-2009 at 12:28 PM.

Another Craigslist pet peeve favorite for me in my area. There are a dozen of these in any given week, so I will just pick one.
Evidently, the Concept 2 rower model C, in used condition, is worth its almost new price. Despite being used. Despite being a model that is discontinued:
http://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/spo/1170072094.html
This one is $675. I routinely see these Model C rowers at $600+ or $700+.
Model D's and E's are routinely listed for just $100 or $200 under the Brand new price - so $800+. All the time.
to my astonishment, these listing don't last long. People actually seem to be paying these outrageous prices.

At least they didn't say that it's worth 3 times their asking price.

I dunno.....dreamer?
http://columbus.craigslist.org/spo/1180122225.html
Ok, maybe I'm just being overly critical guys, you be the judge.
This fella wants $700 for a weider pro 9930 home gym, but he's throwing in a lifestyler stepper. Dreamer or good deal?
I may get it if ya'll say deal. I might flip the stepper and sell my Powertec Lat PD to make room for the home gym. I just don't know on this one.
Thanks.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #4 ▪█─────█▪
