Hey i don't know which protein to get....
http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/opt/whey.html (ON Whey)
or
http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/six/pro.html (Six star muscle Whey)
I usually take soy protein and i use to take a lot of whey protein then i stopped. i started again with this protein from GNC called Pro Performance Protein 95 but i don't really think its been doing anything for me and i diet well and have good exercises all the time.
So can you guys help me out here?
I will rep to people that give opinions and help
Also try to support your opinion (or fact) thanks

Soy has a lower bioavailibility rating than whey or chicken or eggs..lower than most protein sources it's rating is 74% but they dont make u grow tits cuz of estrogen..dont believe that BS
As for which protein..it wont make a difference that's my opinon, OP your saying u got no results with GNC's product...u think it's magical? it's whey that's not what make u grow muscles..whey protein isnt even necessary just convienyent."Whether you think you can, or you think you can't, you're right!"-Henry Ford

First ingredient is isolate, tastes pretty decent, and is much cheaper than ON.I rep back

okay but think of this..u grow when u rest correct? So the time your muscles recover is not just PWO but for an extended period of time, being 48-96hours usually. So this is the "window" u want to worry about and keep the nutrients, protein, and calories coming into u to fuel ur muscles. Yes you are correct whey is absorbed faster..but ur muscles dont instantly start healing or eating themselves after ur workout. I agree T-nation is a bad resource for nutrition articles it's better for training ones, but i would have to say whey is not NECESSARY, you can do fine without whey protein..just look at AJ sims..have a talk with him, guarentee he can convince u

Obviously no supplement is absolutely necessary. But whey is definitely the #1 option. When you are done working out you are in a catabolic state and the quicker you can get protein and calories into your body the better. since whey is the quickest it is therefore the best.

but what says ur in a catabolic state? you know after weight lifting ur glycogen stores arent completely depleted considering u eat a pre workout meal..unless ur a triatholon athlete whey+simple carbs arent really needed but i guess it's optimal, just i havent seen studies showing whey has provided better results for people because why is it that faster abosorbing protein is better..since ur muscles are constantly repairing while u rest..why is PWO such a great time to have a fast digesting protein+carb meal.

You make protein sound like its a myrical drug. You can't drink one protein shake after your workout and get huge. You have to be dedicated and devote months-years of time to your diet/training. Go with the ON whey, in the end your just getting protein look for fat content, scoops/serving, and protein / serving. I think ON is the best and cheapest.
