I got the sampler pack from ON and can choke down the chocolate varieties if I mix a scoop with peanut butter and milk, then freeze it for a few minutes. But it just tastes like chemicals, KWIM? Can you recommend any other sampler packs? Any varieties that dont taste so bitter/chemically?
THANKS!

A lot of people tout ON whey - but personally, I think it's overpriced and the flavors aren't that great.
I'm a fan of Dymatize. I use the Dymatize Iso 100 right now. (no carbs, no fat, no lactose) I like fruity protein shakes, so I have their pina colada flavor. OMG - blend the pina colada with some OJ, strawberries or bananas - it's heaven."If A is a success in life, then A equals x plus y plus z. I use Maximum Protein (name is changing to Ultimate Protein) and I LOVE the taste of it. It doesn't have that protein taste to it. Chocolate is awesome and so is strawberry. Never tried the other flavors. They did change the strawberry a little bit so it doesn't taste as good as it used to but it's still better than any other brand I've had.

I drink a whey protein with carbs in it but the taste is DELICIOUS! Try IDS whey and oatmeal protein in their chocolate peanut butter flavor...YUM! The vanilla cinnamon one is good too, great for making protein muffins with

Syntrax Nectar is pretty tasty (several good flavors) . . . I switched to it because I'm supposed to avoid cocoa powder and the Nectar brands are the only non-chocolate flavored whey that I've found that I can stand the taste.

Optimum Nutrition 100% Any Whey. The first time I had it I noticed the "whey" taste but after that I don't even notice the taste anymore. It blends really well into my fruit juice.
I prefer to make my shakes and then have them a little while later (like make one before my workout and bring it to the gym to have just after my workout). Initially when I shake it into the juice I use there's a collection of foam at the top and if I let a little time go by it disappates into the drink better. My Journal

ON gold standard 100% whey I think is so delish! I use the double rich chocolate and ff milk, replaced chocolate milk anyday! But my fav is the vanilla ice cream, I mix it with ice cold water and a scoop of orange gatorade powder for my PWO. talk about a creamcicle flavor!

Not to jump on the ON bandwagon, but have you considered the natural versions of their whey products? The flavoring is all-natural, no artifical sweeteners, etc. I think it's only available in Choc, Van, or Straw. It tastes good to me, no chemical tastes because there are no chemicals in it.
Another to also consider, which is available in Canada, but I don't know if it is in the US, is TrueStar. It might be more expensive and only comes in Vanilla, but it is high quality (pharmaceutical grade) and mighty tasty!
