Anyone here have experience playing in live tournaments at casinos?
If so, how would you characterize the general difference in players compared to online tourneys?

Thanks. I'd assume most people will play fishy.
I've been playing 5NL lately on 6 max tables. Here's a hand I played recently. I had a little bit of history with the guy I went heads up against before this hand so I felt he was trying to outplay me. I was using smallball strategy where I minraise any hands that are in my range and go from there.
Full Tilt Poker Game #17350580130: Table Dew Mist (6 max) - $0.02/$0.05 - Pot Limit Hold'em - 4:54:17 ET - 2010/01/05
Seat 1: stealthfire ($2.53)
Seat 2: "hero" ($9.57)
Seat 3: 101 Pianos ($5.31)
Seat 4: riapsed ($16.62)
Seat 6: milosbay ($9.31)
milosbay posts the small blind of $0.02
stealthfire posts the big blind of $0.05
The button is in seat #5
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to "hero" [As Ts]
"hero" raises to $0.10
101 Pianos folds
riapsed calls $0.10
milosbay folds
stealthfire folds
*** FLOP *** [2s 2d 3d]
stealthfire: annoying flops
"hero" bets $0.20
riapsed raises to $0.80 <----- big mistake, he clearly didn't hit
"hero" calls $0.60 <--- what would you guys do in this spot? i felt if i reraised, it would have been an all-in matchup.
*** TURN *** [2s 2d 3d] [Td]
"hero" bets $1.25
riapsed raises to $5
"hero" raises to $8.67, and is all in
riapsed calls $3.67
"hero" shows [As Ts]
riapsed shows [4s Ad]
*** RIVER *** [2s 2d 3d Td] [Js]
"hero" shows two pair, Tens and Twos
riapsed shows a pair of Twos
"hero" wins the pot ($17.93) with two pair, Tens and Twos
*** SUMMARY ***
Total pot $19.21 | Rake $1.28
Board: [2s 2d 3d Td Js]
Seat 1: stealthfire (big blind) folded before the Flop
Seat 2: "hero" showed [As Ts] and won ($17.93) with two pair, Tens and Twos
Seat 3: 101 Pianos didn't bet (folded)
Seat 4: riapsed showed [4s Ad] and lost with a pair of Twos
Seat 6: milosbay (small blind) folded before the Flop
Feedback would be appreciated

keep your preflop raises between 3-4 times the big blind I really hate minraises. I think you played it fine after the flop.
Its really hard to guage how good a player is at the 5NL level but overall trying to get it all in when you hit top pair will be pretty profitable.

Thanks. I like minraises because it widens my range and I play accordingly if someone reraises behind me. Most importantly, it is very hard for someone to put me on a hand. I think minraising is good if your postflop play is good.

It's hard to put you on a hand if you open shove every hand too. There's no change when you min-raise instead of 3x it. At higher limits, people will be more apt to 3-bet you if you min-raise and they'll crap on you IP because it's so cheap.
Just 3x it.
Min-raise is standard in cap games, but that's about it besides in 100bb, min-raising the button is decent too.

Who do you think you are? The Daniel Negreanu of $5NL? Forget about widening your range, and disguising your hands, it's five dollar no limit, people don't give a monkey's ass what you have, just raise it to 3x plus one BB per limper, or something. If you always raise the same amount no matter what, be it 2x or 1293x, then you're still doing the same thing.
As for the hand, what feedback are you looking for exactly? With your comments it sounds like you had some reads, and history with this guy, or your Daniel Negreanu madskillz meant you just ''knew'' he had nothing, or whatever.
My main question is if you thought he ''obv didn't hit'', then why not reraise and get all in because you're surely not calling his raise if you think you're behind there? Although the way you actually played it turns out to be fine, so meh.BRB' Projectile Vomitin'
