Not true. We sent a 1099 to a model in the state of Washington two years ago for some help in a booth at a bodybuilding show.

The state of Washington is trying to say that this constitutes "nexus" (Google it) so we owe them nearly $1,000,000 in back sales and use tax.

No, we aren't paying admins. It's a volunteer position. Move to Idaho and we can talk about it!

what would you do if all the mods downed tools until you payed them?

also, why dont you offer free sups to the mods if you cant pay them? surely a "donation" like that isnt against the law?

Admins have already stated that are happy not being paid. Please close these threads. They have stated they already feel helping other people is enough.

Ryan has already said that he cant legally pay them.
He could give them free supps if he wishes that is his choice not yours.

My only real comment: Many people posting about what the mods and admins do have little to no idea what goes on behind the scenes. So it is probably best if you do not know more about the subject, either do one of two things:

1. Ask questions so you do know, or
2. Say nothing.

While you have the right to post, arguing from ignorance is very rarely productive. And there are probably good reasons why more mods are not commenting on the subject, or admins going into detail.

If the OP feels he has a legitimate point to make, then it is up to him to either support his point or ask questions until he feels he has an answer. A bunch of people posting different variants of STFU can save themselves even more trouble and not read the thread, or stay out the section entirely.
