    Olive oil?

    I heard that olive oil is good for bulking up?

    ok man il tell you what. just eat food. nothing is better then whole foods. im ****ign skinny aswell but when i was on my diet i gained a kilo in a week dropped it now cause i didnt have the money to keep buying the **** i needed. if u cnt eat alot, try blending things together sucha as, milk, berrys, bananas, peanut butter, whey protein. and you got around 1000 cals in one of those drinks and there easy to digest so u dnt feel full. it worked really good for me seeign as i couldnt force that much whole foods down.

    It contains the most healthy fat you can have.

    Theres a pretty big misconception that fat=bad for you. Its just as essential as carbs and protein.

    Dang and I thought I was really skinny! Dang and I thought my roommate at 6'0, 140lbs was skinny (I can see every single rib)!

    I recommend a dirty bulk.... i'm dirty bulking eating 50% clean healthy, low calorie foods (oats, rice, fish, chicken, bread, fruits, veggies). And 50% fast food, pizza, ice cream, etc.

    how the **** are you skinny :P. i wouldnt clasify you as skinny...well maybe compared to the other bodybuilders but as a normal person you aint skinny.

    I've probably become kind of like a girl (like many on here) in that no matter how big I am getting, I feel like I am just plain skinny and weak, lol. (you know how the sexiest, most fit females, will say "omg i'm soo fat" and really mean it)

    Which can be a good thing, it is pushing me hard to go workout and not miss a single lift day.

    Olive Oil, good for bulking up, but i would suggest Flax Seed oil or flax seeds, has more Omega-3,6

    I gained 12 pounds in about a month with flax seed oils and seeds, plus seedless raisons, good cals.. plus the occasional protein either Casein, Whey, or anabolic.. and multi-vits. =D

    Peanut butter is generally the cheapest food for bulking up, you can buy generic brands at maddd cheat like 50 pence a pot, which is like 80 cents. There'd be like 1200 calories in 200g of it haha.

    Although yeah olive oil, the only problem is alot of people have problems stomaching it, I know I used to have it every day in my diet though thanks to the words of Matt Eagan when I was first training.

    100mls of it has about 800 calories. You can't really complain with that ;]

    I drank my olive oil stirred in with a cup of milk, then I'd gulp it like crazy. I found drinking olive oil by itself would just make my throat feel very slimey and sickly, and I had more than once vommitted from this haha.

    If you drink too much olive oil though it can be bad for your liver and cause diarhea. I told my doctore about how I drink 8 tablespoons a day, and he told me you can get ****ed if I keep doing that so if I were you I would stick with peanutbutter (almost the same amount of cals)

    Olive oil has a lot of monounsaturated fat in it. This kind of fat has been shown to indirectly increase testosterone levels in the body. It is also good for bulking because it offers a relatively high amount of calories/amount consumed. Also, unsaturated fats help to increase mobility of adipose (fat) tissue in the body. Think of these kinds of fats as laxatives for your cardiovascular system. I recommend consuming one to two servings of olive oil a day. May be substituted with other similar oils including specific butter spreads (oil based).

    Dude, anything to help you get those calories up. No more than 3 tablespoons per day though. I'll give you some tips too, besides that. Follow a diet something like this, eating a meal like this every 3 hours:

    8 egg whites (1 cup), 75 g oats+300 g milk, turkey links (ideal for breakfast)
    6 oz chicken breast, 3 slices whole wheat bread, apple, yogurt (ideal for lunch)
    4 oz water packed tuna, brown pasta or brown rice, some fruit
    8 oz cottage cheese, cheerios+milk, chicken breast or turkey links

    The idea is to get a lot of protein and a lot of whole grain/whole wheat carbs every 3 hours. You'll want like 600-700 calories with each meal and about 6 meals per day. That will put you around 3500 cals. If you eat that much with healthy foods like what I listed and lift weights, you'll gain a lot of weight, but not much fat.

    Feel free to add like 3 tbps oil in there. But yea dude, you need to shove everything you can find down your throat. Good luck.

    Yes, to the guys saying just eat food, there's nothing wrong with Olive oil. In fact there's a whole article on why you SHOULD drink it while bulking on T-nation, I just CBF to go find it.
