One man was killed and another seriously wounded in a shootout inside a Miami Burger King on Tuesday, officials said.

Police said a man wearing a ski mask walked into the store at Biscayne Boulevard and 54th Street and demanded money from a clerk.

A customer, who has a concealed weapons permit, pulled a gun, said Officer Jeff Giordano, a Miami police spokesman.

The customer and robber exchanged fire.

The robber was shot dead at the scene.

The customer, who had several gunshot wounds, was taken to Ryder Trauma Center in serious but stable condition, said Lt. Ignatius Carroll, a Miami Fire Rescue spokesman.

At about 4 p.m., officials got several 911 calls reporting people shot inside the Burger King.

now im sure if there were more people like this.. more criminals would think twice before pulling a gun on someone. Imagine if he didnt have a gun.. oh wait

Sure shootout is a bit dangerous but i doubt the person with the concealed permit pulled trigger first which tells you something about the robber... secondly i dont know if you know but a few months ago there was this group of teens running around to random dunkin donuts and BK just shooting people up for gang initiation or something...

I am now pro gun, i mean if that guy did pull out his concealed and have a wild west shoot out, the robber could have escaped with all that Burger Kings money!! i mean its not insured and Burger king needs all it money because its just a small corporation.

the majority of the time insurance as such would not protect against criminal acts

I'm very pro gun....but I also think that target practice and CE should be a part of concealed. Make sure you can hit who you are shooting as much as you avoid not hitting stuff with your car.

They require less maitanence have less jamming/functionality issues.
And I dont need a big clip to hit and neutralize the enemy, if you can't put a man down with 2 shots your dead anyway. The little double barrel shoots .357 mag rounds, lol at you for underestimating my little cricket.

WTF are you talking about are you serious? burger king would have a major multinational account with an insurance company that would cover all stores for criminal acts including theft

If you take guns away from the legal owners, then who will be left with guns? The people they are attempting to take them from to start with.
