    Keto hot cocoa

My awesome husband improvised this for me last night. Sorry, I can't give any exact proportions, but it's pretty simple to figure out.

-Almond Breeze UNSWEETENED chocolate almond milk - 45 calories and 2g net carbs per cup
    -Half-and-half - 20 cals / 1g carbs per tablespoon
-Unsweetened cocoa powder (Green & Black brand is my fave) - 12 cals / 1g net carbs per tablespoon
    -Splenda packets
-Land O Lakes sugar free whipped heavy cream - 20 cals / 0 net carbs per 2 tablespoons
    -Cinnamon
    -Vanilla extract

Bring the almond milk to a simmer. Add enough half-and-half to make it as thick as you like. Whisk in 1-2 Tbs of cocoa powder, a couple Splenda packets, and cinnamon and vanilla to taste. Bring to a slow boil, serve in a mug with sugar-free whipped cream.

Sounds delicious. I'm gonna have to try that out, but too bad I am too lazy to go through the trouble. So much work is involved when pots and pans come into the picture for me.

You could totally do it in the microwave. Just mix everything (except for whipped cream) in a mug and nuke it. The cocoa powder won't be as dissolved but if you can deal with that it's fine.

.....shoving it all in the blender then pour into cups to heat up in the microwave might work. worth a go anyway

I am drinking this right now. It is super yummy! Made it with a bit of instant hazelnut coffee - cafe mocha!

This cocoa recipe is very good! I also tried it with mint extract (just a drop or two or else the alcohol in it becomes too strong) instead of vanilla and that was good too. I'm looking forward to trying almond milk in more recipes.
    Mind strong, body strong.
