i know a good amount about nutrition/sports training. i'm a junior in college and researching has been a hobby of mine for the past 3-4 years. im coming off shoulder surgery(3 months now) and my strength coach here at school says i can do the prowler everyday (then makes fun of me and ****, you know). i tell him like everything else, i need proper rest or i'll eventually overtrain my legs.
what's the deal?? am i right?

Like... stalker/peeping tom type of deal? I'm confused what prowler means.
And if thats it, then yeah... you might want to take a day off in between prowls. You can overtrain easily doing it every day (climbing up to see through windows 'n ****) plus doing it everyday increases your chances of arrest.I smash mics like cornbread, you can't kill me I was born dead.

read this article, it might be helpful http://www.higher-faster-sports.com/...rtraining.html
you can do it everyday or every other for three weeks, but I would then take it light for about a week.

He is both right and wrong. Where he is right. If you just used a prowler, you shouldn't get sore. Where he is wrong. You still need rest.
I was told that by Louie Simmons, Iwas skeptical, so I just used the prowler hard for a few workouts, and wasn't sore. He was right. However, just because there isnt DOMS, doesnt mean your muscles don't need rest.
Now, for the caveat. You "can" train it everyday, but not max effort like it seems he is suggesting. Light walking with a prowler can be used as a recovery and restoration technique.J. Hashey, CSCS, Owner - Synergy Athletics
