If that's the way they want to look, I can't hate on them for that..
But a true athlete UNDERSTANDS the importance of training the ENTIRE body, and not just the upper body. It's almost an embarasement to bodybuilding for someone to walk around with stick legs and a big upper body and call themselves a BODYbuilder. Well I'm sorry sweetie, but to be a BODYbuilder you must train the entire BODY.
However, if someone doesn't do squats/deads, but does other things to train those muscle groups, then no hate/discrimination at all
Lots of people have different exercise preferences.**Never look down on someone, unless you're helping them up**

I'd also like to add... I do occasionally deadlift, but I rarely squat. ( I hack squat though ). Yet my legs are just as big as these "if you don't squat you're a pussy" guys? Soooooo... I'm I doing something wrong? 0.o
If I'm wrong baby, I don't wanna be right.
I have arthiritis, too, by the way. So heavy squatting, etc... kills my knees + hips.

In the bodybuilding community people love to preach absolutes. It also makes people feel better about themselves and their own routine/philosophy on training. It can really pump up their ego to be able to say they do the most "hardcore" exercises and they are better than those who choose not to do them. If you enjoy squatting/deadlifting, and/or have the dedication to perform arguably the two toughest bodybuilding exercises, then more power to you. I personally couldn't give a rat's ass what exercises others in the gym or on this forum choose to do or not do.
