Not me! I saw your workout and thought it was great! It didn't lead to an update of the competition, though, so I didn't comment.
I pressed 145lbs the other day at a bodyweight of about 155... same old story My push presses are still in the 185-200lb range, and my jerks are still hovering just over 220. Nothing new to report just yet!

190 @ BW of 185
Before I started my competitive Powerlifting Career in Sept of 2007, I did a strict standing Military Press of 190 lbs at a bodyweight of 185 lbs.
I am no longer training that lift.
Edit:
I found the record. It's in my BodyBlog Entries for July 3rd 2007. It reads:
I hit a new personal record in two lifts today. I hit 190 X 1 in the Standing Military Press, and 220 X 1 in the Incline Barbell Bench Press, at a bodyweight of 189 lbs. Triples were working as well.
Today’s workout:
Standing Military Press: 95 X 5 X 2 (warmups); 190 X 1 (record); 165 X 3 X 2.
Incline Barbell Bench Press: 220 X 1 (record); 200 X 3 X 3.
Total Volume: 27 reps.
I listed my weight as 189 lbs in the entry. This was standing on the scale with clothes and sneakers. I counted those as about 4 lbs worth. I think I would have weighed in that day at 185 lbs if I had taken everything off.Last edited by smitsky; 03-04-2009 at 08:50 PM.
Bench (raw): 325 lbs. X 1
Incline Bench Press (raw): 225 lbs. X 8
Squat (single ply): 355 lbs. X 3
Deadlift (single ply): 441 lbs. X 1
Powerlifting Total (single ply): 1116 lbs.
Barbell Curl: 140 lbs. X 1
Standing Military Press: 190 lbs. X 1
Weighted Dips: BW + 110 lbs. X 3
Weighted Pullups: BW + 90 lbs. X 1

I think I can get 155lbs @145lbs BW. I'll have to get a video in when I go home this weekend.
OP, your push press/power jerks are impressive.Mountain Man #99 - killing bears and eating whole eggs

[QUOTE=madaozeki;294388521]Cool, looking forward to your strict standing press results! I hope you're not counting the Smith machine bar as a full 45lbs
QUOTE]
naw my smith bar wieghts 15lbs and i never counted it, i just get to confused with the wieghts when i start couting it.
finally got some more seated pressing in the smith last night going to start doing standing in 2weeks, i wana incline db 50kgs first which i hope to do next week and ill keep doing seated untill i reach my incline goal.
workout last night;
incline db; 30kgsx8, 35kgsx8 40kgsx8 47.5kgsx6
seated smith press; 50kgsx5, 65kgsx5 75kgsx5 87.5kgsx5
s/s reverse flies 17.5kgs 4x8
chin ups; 6, 5, 6,
deadlifts; 120kgsx5 170kgsx4 190kgsx3 200kgsx2 220kgsx1
was pretty impressed with this workout as i hit a new pr in the dead and on the incline and it was also after a week off, also kinda hoping i might be able to push press 102kgsx1 when i go back to standing so hopefully ill be really close to a strict, also have more motivation as the guy that owns the gym i go2 did 100kgs in the smith so i wana blow him out the water with my standing press.people ask me how to train, and i answer "i look at what you do and then i do the exact oposite"
if your family was captured and you were told you needed to put 100 pounds onto your max squat within two months or your family would be executed, would you squat once per week? Something tells me that you'd start squatting every day

Welcome to all the new entries. Feel free to enter whenever you want. And again, hopefully this thread will stay open until EVERY person on the list makes the goal!!!
NOTE #1: Smith machine presses will not count towards this goal. See rules and demo video for proper form
NOTE #2: If everyone with "rep" PR's could attempt a 1RM sometime in the near future, that'd clean up the chart a lot more!

Yup, feel free to post PR's in this thread as you hit them. I'll update the list accordingly. I'm going to re-organize it soon as a % of your bodyweight, so it somewhat resembles a "leaderboard".
Sure!
Bodyweight overhead press?? Haha First let's all hit one rep for bodyweight, and then worry about multiple reps! Unless you meant a different exercise...
Not sure what you mean... A jerk involves very little shoulders. The bar is driven up with the legs, and then they rebend to catch the weight at arm's length. Check out the tutorial video in the 1st post of this thread to see the form for the different overhead lifts. Make sure you're not push pressing the 180x3! If not, that's a VERY impressive lift

not push pressing, i can use two 37.5kg (82.5lbs)dumbells and press for five seated that was some weeks ago final set of workout ill have to check fresh weights lifted. in the clean and jerk my pressing action is good its just the clean part which lacks the strength i think i could do more if the clean part was better. ill try seated 1RM Seated OHP tuesday to see what my shoulders can press when clean action is removed.

finally did some miltary pressing in the gym 2nte, didn't go as well as i had hoped for, it was one of those sesh's where i just had no energy and a bit of a sore back. anyway my pressing was
50kgsx12
60kgsx8
70kgsx6
80kgsx1
90kgsx1
100kgs-fail
95kgs-fail ran out of push.
it was a strict as i could do it, but there was a tiny bit leg use involved.
i reckon itl prob take me 4-6weeks to reach 102kgs which is my bodywieght but ill prob drop 2kgs just so i can round it to 100kgs.people ask me how to train, and i answer "i look at what you do and then i do the exact oposite"

I'll get in on this. I haven't done alot of pressing lately but I am starting a new program and will focus on pressing OH again. Last week I did 205x1 and I'm guessing my max is 210-215. Just worked up to 2x8 with 155 yesterday and my body weight is 234.
best lifts:
bench press 380x1 315x7 225x 25
squat: 525x1
deadlifts: 520x1

I do them in one of the power racks. I set the bar at about chin level so it is easier to get into place.
BW: 190
Standing OHP = 155x10
I had forgotten about this thread or I would have tried more weight. I'll see about it next week.
Last week while doing them seated (butt backed up to the back pad and shoulders against backpad as well), I did 185x10 and 225x1.*MFC Illuminati*
