I don't think your utopia world will ever exist. The only way I see that happening is if we discover another intelligent race out there in the galaxy and start trading with them. When travelling in space becomes something that's available to everyone, we're all going to be the same. Sorry, I haven't explained it in the best way but I've heard this explanation on a science program before and it made a lot of sense. I'll see if I can dig it up.

What I'm trying to get at is, we live in Western Society, which has historically, always held a preference for lighter skin tones...hell, the Spaniards were responsible for creating a racial caste system in the new world in which lighter skin tones were held in higher regard than those who were darker.

What will NEVER change (maybe some huge catastrophic event will change it temporarily) is our different cultures. We are separated by culture, not race, more than anything else. IMO that is the true reason why everyone is often so separated. It's somewhat natural though... or so it seems.

So, we could all look identical and we'd still find a way to segregate people and separate.

I agree. Races aren't the same. Their bodies and minds adapt to their surroundings so that they can survive even through changed conditions. It's just like any other animal. Eventually we will all be the same though since all cultures are slowly intertwining, evolution will decide what we all will ultimately become.

The rhinocerous is bigger and stronger, but Humans are still better. Humans had nothing to begin with, we were just like any other animal and had no tools to use, we managed to survive anyway even with our lack of defensive features. That's why I say humans are better than any other animal, other animals may have certain capabilities that are beyond human capabilities, but in the end we are beyond them.
