What a horrible person. For being honest and joking around. If he only trains an hour and doesn't pose would you like it that he lied? (Could it be he's been posing for years so he doesnt need to practice anymore???) Should he say instead of hydroxycut he took roids and growth hormone and DNP? What's ridiculous is some of the reactions to this video. He said he's lazy, but he still had to work hard to win the damn contest. Jesus.

IMO Arnold came off as a little douchey.
Why would Dexter lie (about the amount of work?) 1 Hour a day is probably all that Dexter needs as he is not a Mega fast mass gainer....Its perfectly normal to do the same posing routine over and over and then just pick some music and simply pose to it, no need to practise posing. And the Fact that DEXTER NEVER OVERBULKS durring the offseason.
Arnolds (may be the) douche implying that he had to put in 5-6 hour days all the time.
No doubt he may have done a great number of those 5 hour sessions because durretics or thermogenics werent available to Arnie and his contemporaries as per the cutting is concerned.
But training for 5 hours? WOW! with that endurance he should have been a long distance runner.
Dexter FTW... here is my paralel

ok yeah he only trains for an hour, true hes only bein honest, but he obviously didn't win the Arnold by takin muscletech stuff. Just doesn't seem to be very professional. He's not setting a very good example. I dunno, you can just tell Arnold wants him to say he worked hard and stuff he just totally ignores it. For a champion bodybuilder to see he's lazy in his acceptance seems kinda off doesn't it?
Dunno why it bothered me so much. There is no conclusive evidence that clicking the dumbbells together when doing presses, or slamming them down when you're finished your set, will make your chest bigger. Please stop.

I thought it was funny. He wasn't being an ass at all I don't think. People always rag on dex for not being funny and personable, I think he was quite funny and was definetly just joking around with it. He does train for an hour a day probably, no reason to lie... When Arnold made some comments about supplements, he said muscletech as a joke. He gave his honest advice about posing and when arnold says pill, what do you honestly expect him to say. Anyone with a sense of humor would have said "hydroxcut". I think it went fine and was really cool of both of them.

*facepalm* Would it have been more proffesional if he said he took roids? He's sponsored by them and he made a joke. People laughed. Maybe because they are not so retarded to think he developed his super physique with cell tech and hydroxycut.
He said he was too lazy to pose. Obviously he can't be lazy to win shows. Guy's been training how many years now and went from a bantamweight pro to Mr.Olympia? He has done work.Spike92 is 15.

Some people are in the gym for too long every session, he did seem kind of apathetic like he was saying he doesn't work hard but IMO there's nothing wrong with saying he trains for an hour...around that much is a perfect length for a workout. As for not posing...again a less than ideal attitude, but he's been a professional for years and I don't see a problem. Unless you're paul dillet-bad, it usually doesn't make much of a difference...he's good enough at it to win shows.

Exactly. Dex was joking, mixed with what i believe is truth (that he trains about an hour a day). Arnold jokes every time he does those interviews with the competitors. For those who saw the interviews with Victor Martinez and Yaxeni Oriquen, it's pretty obvious. Dex probably just figured he'd go with the flow there at the end while plugging his sponsor(which is basically their job after all).
Yeah but he started competing as a bantamweight.Last edited by stealth_swimmer; 02-06-2009 at 07:36 PM.

What exactly are you bothered by? The fact that he didnt admit to using steroids or the fact that he didn't lie about how much he trains?
Newsflash, these guys are genetic freaks. Add the right supplements and "tools" with the perfect diet and you have a guy like dexter jackson.
Their training isnt anything special. They do the average 5 day split with 3 sets of 12 on each exercise just shy of failure just like everyone else for no more than an hour each session. The only difference is they lift a weight which is significantly heavier than what the average gym weekend warrior lifts.
