how to cite pubmed? (Reps)
Alright I'm writing a paper on beta-alanine supplementation and need to know how to cite pumed.
Such as this study... http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1...ubmed_RVDocSum.. who is the author? or how do I do this ****? (Business major here... I do not write research papers)
Reps to whoever can help
Why are you citing an article if you don't have the complete version. Try to find it with google scholar or your university network, everything should be in the full text.
However, the author's name are in blue right below the name of the article and you can find where it has been published under the author's name.

Just the tip
You can't cite an abstract, you need the entire article. You need to find a copy of the entire article, then the citation goes according to the type of article it is. For example, if you article is going to be directed for the Journal of Biochemistry, you would cite based on their standards. Generally you're find just copying the format (notice I said format) of other similar articles.
J. Hoffman, N. A. Ratamess, R. Ross, J. Kang, J. Magrelli, K. Neese, A. D. Faigenbaum, J. A. Wise
Are the authors and it was published in:
International journal of sports medicine [0172-4622] Hoffman, J yr:2008 vol:29 iss:12 pg:952 -8
Although, when writing a scientific paper the source looks more like this:
Int J Sports Med 2008; 29: 952-958.
Useng a hanging indent after the first line of the citation.
