    Alternatives to Squats

Are there any alternatives to squats?

I don't have a barbell rack at the moment and I am working out at home, what other exercises can I do to get a similar result?

I am currently doing deadlifts (beginner)

I am forced to clean the weight up to my back because I don't have a squat rack. With hack squats it's impossible to go below parallel.

Because I can't really get much weight up, I do 20 rep squats, those are tough...

Learn to do clean grip front squats.

I would also suggest lunges since you don't have to use as heavy a weight as for squats.

the "best" alternative to squat, though not really comparable, would be a trap bar deadlift.

    agree.

You need one or more of these: more food, more weight, more reps or more rest.
