I wouldnt buy them, period. Seemed like a nice change of pace for something to bash, thought Id share.
My heart is set on a set of powerblocks but until I find them second hand cheap, it aint happening, no way Id pay $700 for 180 lbs of weight.Last edited by need2eat; 11-27-2008 at 09:52 AM.

The bar is sticking out 6 inches on both sides of the plates. I bought ironmasters so I could touch them together or sit them on my knees. Why not just buy spinlocks with all the plates for 1/3 the price of those. Plus there is no way they go up to 120 lbs.
Edit: I just checked 45 lb a dumbell, lol. Just get the pink ones from walmart then.Last edited by daltrey; 11-27-2008 at 03:27 PM.

I did a search on craigslist last tuesday, found a set of the 45lbs powerblocks two states away for $30. I thought it was a friggin misprint, contacted them, they verified they existed but said shipping would be too expensive, so I got a quote that came out to 80 bux for shipping, asked for photos but someone local purchased them...I thoght 110 woulda still be a good price. Ive found a few 90lbs sets for 200-400 but again, nowhere near local.
Far as Im concerned, the powerblock and ironmasters should be 300-350 for the 90lbs sets anyway. If you consider the going rate for a lbs of weight, then you quickly wonder who the hells gonna believe it requires another 200-300 to assemble/cast the other parts, and dont forget the expensive tack welds. The gimmick, these replace 4000 lbs or whatever in the hell it is, of regular dumbbell weight, well technically sure but they still be what they be, and that is two dumbbells that weigh 180lbs so WTF?Last edited by need2eat; 11-28-2008 at 07:16 AM.
