I would like to punch the people who believe this.
Yes, mad.

i didn't get it til i actually talked to a Marine.
that's their slogan because during training when people got tired and stopped or whatever the DIs would ask them if the could still feel their body hurt and the answer would be yes. so they believe pain is good because if they still hurt, that means they're still alive.
think about it and its actually a pretty cool slogan1st LAR - 0313

I don't think I would want to punch every Marine. Seems overkill. (No dis for marines. Have extreme respect for them)
@Tonking -- Good story. But is a bullet that goes into your chest weakness leaving your body?
"Pain is weakness leaving the body" is a motto used by people who are too uncreative to come up with something else.
Yes, still mad

"Stand Your Ground"
"There is simply no other exercise (and certainly no machine) that produces the level of central nervous system activity, improved balance and coordination, skeletal loading and bone density enhancement, muscular stimulation and growth, connective tissue stress and strength, psychological demand and toughness, and overall systemic conditioning than the correctly performed full squat." –Mark Rippetoe
