I'm not going to pay as much attention to legs any more

Seriously. I'm tired of walking like an idiot for five days after a day of heavy squats and deads. No more

I have no desire to be on stage or join the circus so having super human legs just aren't that important to me.

I'm still going to work them but now it's going to be lighter weight and higher reps.

Unless you have naturally well built legs, you're going to look pretty stupid with a broad upper body and small as **** lower body. You should focus on them, even if you don't go extremely heavy.

you can get good results from lighter weights, Getting_big can only use 225lbs i think and he has 27inch legs... I had to cut down to 300lbs max due to injuries as well and they still grow..

Many people laud the muscle growing ability of 15-20 rep sets of squats.

Train them more frequently and they won't be as sore. Try training them twice a week (doing half as many sets) in each workout.

But Dom, that would require people to move from their 5 day splits. Heresy!

I guess the message is it doesn't have to be Rippletoez or an Arnold nuthugging split. Somewhere between those two extremes.

If you are experiencing debilitating soreness for five days EVERY time you work the legs, you're doing something wrong.
Bodybuilding is 60% training and 50% diet. Yes that adds up to 110%, because that's what you should be giving it. Change the inside, and the physique will follow.

holy crap, unity. Long time no see man. I am not advocating the 20 rep squats for someone complaining of soreness, but part of the thread was hijacked.

Increasing frequency in which the legs are trained throughout the week should solve teh soreness problem. I know hitting legs 3x a week when I was doing full bodies, left me with only tight legs, but not sore through the week.

    lol!!

My legs always get crazy sore too... but I dont think they get any more sore that any other muscle I work, I just feel it more since its in my legs. I think if I walked around on my hands, that my arms and chest would hurt just as bad.

Yeah, they are brutal. My latest masochistic invention was 20x225 lb + 45 lb db lunges - no rest between. The first & last set of that I'll ever do!

I'm still going to work them but now it's going to be lighter weight and higher reps.
Next you'll be saying youre going to drop squats. Just think of the bb.com servers before you do.

holy ****... and you know what sucks the most about single leg exercises? after you're done with one leg you just feel like falling on the floor, but then you have to do the other leg
