hey everyone,

I was just wondering how many grams of carbs, proteins, and sugars you should look for in a good protein bar????

ive only seen one protien bar, and it had 30 grams of protien. i stick to the shakes.

Ideally it should have around 900.23 grams of protein but if it gets much higher than that its bad. =/

I'm just baffled by the amount of stupid questions that get asked on this board.

I'm baffled that **** nuts like YOU pick on new members like this. If u couldn't tell by the date that I registered to this forum, I'm a mother ****n newbie to this stuff. I was just wanting a simple question answered. Thanks for being a jackass!

He's not asking how much they have. He is asking for what nutiritional stats to look for in a 'good' protein bar.

It depends on if you're cutting or bulking. If you're cutting, stick to the really low carb bars or avoid bars altogether. When bulking, make sure to get a bar that has QUALITY protein, not ****ty gelatin. I like Biotest, Next Proteins. Most bars are total ripoffs though. I'd steer clear of them as much as possible.

Best protien bar, regardless cutting or bulking.........post workout take a MET-RX bar, has 32 grams of protien in it. Very good, only like 300 some calories and isn't too horrible tasting......

damn, alot of these ****in newbies, just ****in answer the question not critisize. at least he;s askin question and not goin about it haphazardly. you dumb ****. but anyway i haven't used bars for bulkin but for cuttin i reccomend ABB zero carb bars, they're about 30-35 grams of protein but watch out for the uncounted carbs and claories, hope this helps

I have yet to see personally any protien bars sold at stores that go over Met-RX's 32 grams..........

neither did i until i got bored and went to a store in long beach called Max Muscle, and they had ALMOST every flavor of ABB zero carb. i don't really favor the met-rx they're kinda dry to me.

I eat Premier Nutrition bars. 31g of protein, and they taste great. Really cheap too, I got them at Costco...

I heard there was a new Powerbar with around 45g though...I'd like a few!

From my local powerlifting, track and football coach + supplement expert. Dunno more about them off the top of my head though.

ISS has the Pro42 bar with 42G of protien.
Nitro Tech Bars has 35G of protein (and taste ****in amazing)
