I'm on an extremely low carb diet (between 5 and 10%) and plan on having two higher carb days out of the 7 a week. Do people generally GAIN during those two days because of retention or lose weight or unchanged? I ask because I'm trying to figure out how to schedule this for my weigh-ins.

question on 'refeed' during low carb diet
"Forget past mistakes. Forget failures. Forget everything except what you're going to do now and do it."

Yes, you will typically "gain" a few pounds, however most of it is water and what has been stored in your muscles from the depletion from your low carb days. I refeed from Saturday morning until Sunday at noon and weigh every Tuesday morning. Would I be lighter on Friday morning? Yes, but as long as you are weighing at the sametime on the same day, that will give you a realistic measure of your progress. I tried doing the refeed on Wednesday nights and then again on Sunday and have had better success with how I am doing it now. Good luck.
