the movement looks awkward, but I tried it, and I can really feel it in my triceps.
anyone else tried this exercise before?

Thats actually kind of cool. I might have to give those a whirl.
Rep +"Clit stimulation if your fingers are dry is not a good idea. The clit is more sensitive than the underside of a guy's penis, apparently.
Good rule of thumb: make sure you're fingers aren't dry before they go anywhere NEAR her clit/pussy.
Also, besides myself, maybe 2-3 of you have actually done anything like this before..."

Kickbacks have always been a good triceps builder. Many people perform them with bad form and too much weight and don't get the most out of the exercise. Then they blame the exercise for not producing results.
Oddly, with that hand position there is almost an illusion of pulling the weight instead of pushing it. I think this is the hardest variation. It is highly effective at hitting all 3 heads at once.
Because the barbell forces your hands in a pronated position which works all 3 heads at once in a full rom with much greater tris isolation. In the dumbbell version the hand generally is in the "hammer position" which allows the forearm to take much of the weight away from the tris. This is not optimal.
If people mimicked the dumbbells in the same position the barbell is in and stayed strict with it....It would work just as well.

That's actually a very old exercise that virtually nobody does anymore. I'm glad to see that some guys are still doing it the old school way. There's another variation as well lying on a flat bench. Position yourself like you would for a lying tricep extension (skull crusher) but then lower the bar so you arms held straight are parallel to the floor. Now do the kickback movement. The combination of these 2 exercises along with dips and close grip bench presses are probably the best freeweight tricep exercises you can do.
