Anyone get those days where no matter HOW much you eat, nothing fills you up? Oh lucky me, I've been suffering through one of those days today. Got home from work, just ravenous. I can not BELIEVE how much food I just ate. I'm a little embarassed and surprised I could pack away that much. While I was waiting for my supper to heat up, I munched on a ton of steamed cabbage. For supper was a high fiber wrap(13 grams) with taco meat(bison mixed with ground chicken), topped with tomatoes, salsa, cottage cheese, etc. I didnt eat the entire wrap, but I DID have 3/4 of a bag of salad along with that and still couldn't get full! There was a LOT of meat, so although it was an overall healthy meal, I'm sure it was like 800 calories or more..
Yikes. The scary thing is I only feel 'satisified'-not even full. Anyone else have one of those days?

Oh yeah, I've had those days. Strangely enough, I find I usually have those days when I do a kick-ass HIIT session. I don't know what that's doing to my body, but I can eat all day long after one of those!
Hi, my name is Ellen, and I'm a peanut butter addict...
I do this because I can. I can because I want to. I want to because you said I couldn't.

I have those days about two or three times a week BUT my problem is that, lately, I've been eating junk instead of "clean foods". I think I might have a binge-eating problem - last night I made and ate pumpkin dip with 1/2 a bag of ginger snap cookies, litterally, I probably ate 5,000+ calories in 20 minutes - I just couldn't stop myself from eating. Does anyone else have this problem and how can I overcome it? I need tips, tricks and suggestions!

I have those days too. When my body says it needs a refeed I'll indulge it and give it one.
I do find they happen more often after the lower cal days or if I'm just not eating enough. As you gain muscle that muscle burns more cals just being there. Try upping your calories or moving more cals earlier in the day and see if that helps. I find that if cals are too restricted your more likely to binge, so I find it better to go a little higher and not have to deal with the ravenous hunger. There is no elevator to success. You have to take the stairs.

Ummm, yeah. I think I have the same problem. The past two days I have made it all day being so good and eating clean. Then, when I get home, it is like I need to EAT! The problem is, my foods have been crackers, bread, oatmeal, cookies, etc. Even if it is clean, it is all carbs and WAY too many calories! I am doing a competition in 43 days! I really need to get over these problems! I know it is a mental battle, but I feel like I keep losing!
What is pumpkin dip?...wait, don't tell me...I have a can of pumpkin and things could get scary!
Keep smiling!Nothing tastes as good as looking good feels!
Smile, it makes people wonder what you're up to!
Live life to the fullest and enjoy every moment of every day.
Life's too short to wait until tomorrow...

That would happen to me after a couple days on low calories (below 1700). Eventually, I realized that I was better off keeping my calories a bit higher to prevent binging later when I got ravenous. The OTHER time it would happen was when I had PMS, and I decided to keep my calories at maintenance a few days before my period.. feeling ravenous is just not fun.

For chips or cookies (or nuts, even. Some of us go nuts for nuts!), get some snack-sized zip-lock bags. Portion out your goodies. For me, it helps that I'm accountable to log my calories... so if I go scrounging for food in the pantry, I remind myself that I have to log it, if I eat it. Sometimes the food wins over, but it's not mindless eating by that point. And I wouldn't eat as much, if it's already portioned out.

"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
