I didn't take too long of rest between sets of squatting, so I felt I improved a bit by not needing so much rest. Other days I will need more, but today I didn't need much. Bench press was heavy, but all reps were pretty crisp. My current bench press PR is 3x5x140, so I'll be looking to match that on Saturday.
    damn cj you're moving quick...

I told you you'd be back up further than you were within like 3 months

You mean the full length training tights?

Go to a store or website that sells cycling gear. Basically cycling shorts, but full length.

I just started c&j'ing myself and have been ripping up my shins, more recently I've been keeping my legs very narrow like right where the bar is smooth in the center

Yeah, they are Adidas pants that are somewhat tight, but not like spandex.

No, not that tight. Those are about the tightness of the sports underwear that I wear to workout in, though.

The train just keeps on rollin'. That workout is especially impressive for being sick. Way to suck it up and get things done.

Thanks, PokLim. If anyone feels they don't work for bigger lifts like squats, I feel my progress would be a decent example showing they do work, at least for some.

My rest has been decent, but my diet hasn't been anything to be proud of the past few days. I've been sick, I went to Taco Bell yesterday for a quick dinner, and have been slacking on my protein shakes. I feel better today, and have eaten better as well. I drink milk with everything I have, usually.

Thanks for the encouragement, Matt. My squat and deadlift goals are going to be reached within the next few weeks, but my bench press goal will give me a hard time.

I guess I should have said protein drinks. I will normally have two a day, which consist of 8 oz of milk and 1 scoop of whey. On days I workout (Tue/Thu/Sat), I will have a steak for dinner. Other dinners throughout the week are a chicken breast twice, usually a roast chicken on Sunday. Another day will be spaghetti. My lunch is normally a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, or two of them. I will also sometimes have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich after my workout.

I'm curious - are you guys asking CJ these questions because he missed a rep on bench press, or because you're just wondering in general?

Don't worry about one missed rep. You almost had it, and will likely get it next time. Besides, the other two exercises were PRs. Really good day overall.

A PR is a PR. What do you usually have (pre-workout meal) before hitting the wieghts?
