Losing water does not equal losing fat. It can equal dehydration and decreased performance, though.
Don't do it."If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

your sessions will be weaker as you'll tire out much faster, heat is the ENEMY of cardio you wanna be cool and comfortable as possible so you can put in some nice hardcore sessions, just like u wouldn't wanna do weights uncomfortable/hot or lethargic.
it works if you're desperately trying to make a weight class which you are not, all they do is lose water in their body and weigh themselves then they go have a drink and put it all back on, this doesnt apply to you so ignore it completely! My journal http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=5662511

hey dude good luck with startin to get fit again.
you basically gotta think about what can get your heart rate up easily at home if your worried about other people looking at you or somethin.
i would recommend getting a skipping rope and just trying to skip for 10mins in the backyard each day and slowly build it up till your ready to start jogging round the neighbourhood or swimmin at the beach again
hope this helps

yeh dont run with a bin bag over you lol, seriously though be consistant and dont expect to see changes over night, diet is just as important as excersise it will take a few months but dont despair.
When I say diet i dont mean fasting its important to eat little and often if you starve yourself your metabolism will slow down so the key is little and often
