Yeah that first bull rush by Freeney...I was like...who the fuk is 93? Always slips my mind this dude is a Charger.
He looked great out there. As did the rest of the first teamers.
Really didn't like the call to kick a FG on 4th and inches though and settling for a 28 year FG.ϟ CHARGERS CREW ϟ // Cubs // Blackhawks // Polska

My observations from the game...let me know your thoughts
- PR17 looked strong for learning a new system, having 80% of his O-Line replaced and running a base package offense (I liked the short/mid range throws), he still took his time getting rid of the ball however (most likely still knocking off some rust from taking 7 months off).
-Soresen will pass CBJesus for #2 - he got the ball out quicker and didn't blow it (Whitehurst 7/15 2 Int and looks slow/soft)
-Dunlap is the clear #1 LT and by a long shot
-Flukers pass blocking is suspect, we have a very small sample size to judge from however
-depth on o-line is atrocious - M. Harris is still bad, Troutman made some terrible judgement calls...any injury to the starting 5 would be bad news
-Meachem is still terrible: incredibly soft, no explosion, just seems like he's wasting our time being on the field
-Front 7 on D looked sharp: Freeny is going to be our entire pass rush, Teo got pushed around a bit, he was still in the right place at the right time, Butler is probably the smartest player on the field
-Stuckey looked lost at safety (I didn't see Marcus Gilchrist)
-Clary is a much better guard than tackle (I liked what I saw)
-DePalma is still the great white hopeϟ CHARGERS CREW ϟ

Agreed on many points.
-Mathews actually looked like a legit back a few plays. although when he did the LT dive for the 1st down i was like aww shiit he probably broke his collarbone again.
-Pass blocking is still a bit suspect.
-Run blocking heaps better than last year.
-Depth on both sides is pretty damn bad at all positions.
-none of the rookies or backups stood out significantly. but it was only 1 game.
-dat freeney bullrush doe. same thing i was like who the hell is 93? he made that RT his bitch. and sure enough it was freeney.
-have a longg way to go to see if we can compete with the Texans on monday night.
-Might be going to the last preseason game against SF

I'm guessing we'll hold him out the rest of pre season.
So looks like its going to be Brown, Royal and keenan allen as our starting WR for now. im kind of excited to see how they perform against da bears.

Keenan Allen leaves practice for knee treatment
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
Chargers rookie receiver Keenan Allen, who saw first-team reps after Malcom Floyd got hurt Monday, left Tuesday's practice after individual drills to receive treatment on his knee. "The knee treatment relates to the posterior cruciate ligament injury that ended Allen's 2012 season at Cal," according to the Union-Tribune.
Coach Mike McCoy told the paper the team "wants to stay on top of it."
