i squat 160kg and i thought i would increase every month if i kept doing it, i then relised my back was starting to hert, and after one month my legs felt like they had been workout every day, just max out once every 6 weeks and do 5x5 for normal sets or 3-4x5-8 reps depending on how you want to look

Anything is possible, especially if you aren't doing ATG squats. I hit 365 my senior year doing the b.s. squat, and I got to that number pretty quickly. I think you could easily get to 400 pounds if you worked hard enough, because that's a fairly common squat max for football. We had several guys hit that last season, so I think you could, but you would have to work HARD.

cause you're talking about being the strongest out of JV like wowww i'm supposed to be impressed by you being stronger than 15-16 year olds who really don't give a **** about football...and you're just thinking irrational...strength is not linear it's not going to be a constant 5-10lbs every workout all the time...and 225x3 probably like a 240 max you're not going to gain 175lbs-375lbs on your squat in that time...well atleast not BY sophomore year, maybe towards the end of the year./

its possible, if you focus on squats alot
i was able to get my squat up over 100 pounds in 2-3 months from working my legs 4-5 times a week
or try smolov
but then again you wont be able to cuz your phat and u got fat jeans ftl_____________________________________________
Practice makes perfect, so when working I dont relax
I practice a lot, therefore I'm perfect and that's a fact

Add 5 pounds a week to your lift if you want to be in the 450 range.
52 weeks in a year x 5lbs= 235 lbs. add that to your 225 and youre at 460 by this time next year. Its really not out of reach man. Just go for it and see what happens.Last edited by NICKTHEDICK; 08-27-2008 at 02:38 PM. Reason: **** up
