lately, im in my fourth year of working out hard, and im finding my motivation for it to be almost gone completely. When i started exercising and lifting, i was extremely motivated because of things like "noob gains" and the quick changes my body took the first year. but after that first second year, and till now, progress is just so slow. I find myself spending more time in the gym then i did that first year, and making lesser results times 10...
and as i put more hours in, and pour out more sweat, i just find it hard to keep myself motivated, as im working harder, and i might gain 5lbs on my bench in a month, where when in that first year of lifting i gained that in like 2 workouts.
not to say i dont make gains. Ive gained about 10-12 lbs of lean muscle PER YEAR over the last 2 years. but its just upsetting to seriously have to bench the same weight for like a month or 6 weeks before you can put some more weight on..
maybe its jsut me? does anyone else thats been lifting for a while find it hard to stay motivated? how do you motivate yourself to keep going?
