How much should i be able to squat ???

Ok so i never done actual squat workouts before and i want to know how many i should be able to do for 6-8 reps x 4 sets to increase power in my legs to increase speed for soccer. Im 17, 145 lbs and i can leg press 180 lbs for 15 reps x 4 sets... so how much should i be able to squat ???
Only the thoughest, the strongest, the most skilled survive 90 mintues on the pitch. To be that warrior, you must play like a warrior.

I work at a gym and people ask me how much weight they should lift etc etc...mate you will never know till you try!

Theres no way of saying you can lift "X" amount of weight!

Go squat, i would say take it light for abit and get form down and then start seeing how much you can lift for 6-8 solid reps.

If your just starting out squats, may I suggest doing your squats on a machine first? build some strenght in your legs and it'll help you develop some form

Warm up with a bar and then try 110lbs (50kg). Increase the weghts if it's easy.
