my bench used to suck balls compared to everything else, but both raw and shirted its starting to make good progress...mostly due to the influence of my new training group.
such a better atmosphere and such better training working with these guys as opposed to mostly on my own except for ME days with one other guy...

There is a great saying: "Say what you say and you'll have what you say"
If you believe your bench press suck, then it does. If you believe you'll have a great bench press, then you will. You couldn't pay me to think negative about my bench press in the past, the present or the future. I always think positive and expect to get results.
I have been reading various internet forums for 10 years and the bench press seems to be the biggest problem.
Increasing your bench press is like a jigsaw puzzle. You must fit all the correct pieces together and you'll see you desired results over time. Check out my 5-Piece Training Puzzle Article: http://www.atlargenutrition.com/fivepiecepuzzle.php

Always and forever. Competition lifts from may look like: 425/285/525
Gym lifts are : 455/300/525
They aren't insanely farm off form where they should be but I would think with a mid 400 squat and low 500 DL my bench would be another 15-25 lbs Its looking like I'm going to have some more time to focus on it lately though my knee is busted and squatting/max DL's are pretty much out for a bit.

I know the exact feeling. Most of this year I've been going solo, living at home on an internship. Back at school I started training in the varsity weight room and actually joined a powerlifting club team. The atmosphere is so much better in terms of me busting my ass when I compare it to lifting in the university fitness center. The weight room are similar but simple things like listening to music you want to and training with 10 other people who have the same basic goals as you is great.

Actually for a long time I was on other end of the suck scale being one of those people whose raw bench is more than their squat though that has changed.
Monday Bench
Tuesday Rest
Wednesday Drink beer
Thursday Drink more beer
Friday Bench
Saturday celebrate benching by drinking beer
Sunday plan for benching
