lol, just an error on definition on your part is all. You said that there are 1.5 billion Muslims and that .2 of them aren't religious, so not considered Muslim. That .2 stat is unnecessary because by definition Muslims are religious--

It's not the terrorists that are the only problem. It's the people (Muslim or non-Muslim) who refuse to stop them. Thailand is a prime example. There is an insurgency in the south near the Malaysian border. A few thousand people have died over the last decade of this. School teachers are BIG targets (apparently education is bad) and schools are burned to the ground as well. Now, we have a few hundred people carrying out the attacks and we have thousands of people in the area who:

a) don't care who gets killed
or
b) support those doing the killing
or
c) are scared ****less

I'm guessing that the Thai Buddhists are "c" and that the Thai/Malaysians on the border fall into either "a" or "b" because they don't have anything to fear as they aren't targets of insurgent violence. If they cared, they'd root out the *******s doing the killing because it gives them a bad name and brings a lot of heat from the Thai military on them.

THAT is the problem many people seem to have with Islam and religion in general. People let things slide because no one wants to admit the faults of those who claim their religion. Just like I get embarassed when "Christians" go on about science being evil, I'm sure Muslims feel the same way when someone threatens Jihad on Burger King for having a crescent shaped ice cream cone. EVERYONE who is religious needs to constantly verbally, and physically if necessary, attack those who aim to destroy the religion from the inside.

The initial stat is obviously tainted...1.5 billion Muslims really means 1.5 billion people who CLAIM to be Muslim...the true stat is unknown.

Just like most people in US prisons are Christian...are they really Christian? They claim to be...but that does not make them Christian.

Likewise, the original 1.5B is an estimate, and that is based on what people reveal about themselves.

But you have to look at the Qu'ran and think: "is this guide giving the right message?"
It tells people to slay non-believers.
Islam in its early days was spread by the sword.

It is not an inherently peaceful religion, and when there are 1.5 billion people, who believe the Qu'ran is the word of god, some people might just interpret parts of it in a violent way.

The Quran was fabricated by their "prophet" Muhammad. He is the founder of Islam and the "perfect" model of Islam. Just read what Muhammad was like and what he did. He was a violent barbarian, and perpetrated atrocities on many, particularly non-believers and women and Jews. Islam is Muhammad and without him there is no Islam.

Just read up on what Muhammad was like and you will understand why Islam is violent, cruel, irrational, dangerous, etc.. Keep in mind many many "muslims" don't know the facts about Muhammad that can be found in their own writings.

One of the reasons Islam is so brutal is to keep "muslims" from the truth and to keep them in line. Most "muslims" are ignorant about the facts of their religion's founder. The largest group of illiterates and illiterate nations in the world are in the muslim countries. This shouldn't be a surprise given Muhammad the founder himself couldn't read a write. The imams keep the facts from the average muslim.

When muslims find out the truth and start to disbelieve or actually leave, they are faced with potential death. Even moderate muslim countries have death as the penalty for someone who leaves Islam or criticizes it or its "prophet" Muhammad.

None-the-less, those that call themselves "muslims" are genuinely dangerous. Last year I was at a meeting talking about this with a man from Pakistan. He working in the US and is an academic, and is writing a book (under a pen name) about Islam. He no longer believes in Islam and knows it is a mortal danger to the non-muslim world. He regularly goes back to Pakistan to visit family, etc.. But, for his own protection he will not let them know that he is no longer a believer. He said 97% of muslims are genuinely dangerous people. They might show a pleasant exterior when in the company of non-muslims, but at heart they hate non-muslims just as they were taught to so. Many other ex-muslims I know have said just the same. And, of course, we have the real muslims who openly say that too. Just look at what is preached behind closed doors.

Any war has relatively few fighting actively in the front lines. Most women aren't in the frontlines, most children aren't in the front lines, most old people and others with disabilities aren't there either. But they still support their fighters with other work, money, encouragement, etc.. The 60 year old kindergarten teacher who was a member of the Nazi party was part of the machine that put the world into war. She might not have driven a tank or flew a bomber or manned a gas chamber, but she was doing her part in the war. So to, today, with Islam's jihad against the rest of the world.

The average aircraft carrier has only about 200 fighter pilots attached to it. They are the only ones that are active in warfare. There are, however, over 5,000 others that are part of the crew who stay on ship a long distance from any fighting and never participate in dropping bombs or shooting. None-the-less they are part of the fight.

So, though many muslims aren't bombing, they are part of the crew, if they are sincere muslims. Muhammad is their example and you can see how violent and dangerous and treacherous a man he was if you read about him.

I think I know more than most muslims. A substantial number of muslims can't even read or write. I can, and I can read what muslims say about Islam, and I can read what non-muslims say about Islam, and I can read what EX-muslims say about Islam.

ALSO, I can see with my own eyes. The "muslims" in my neighborhood, who don't go to mosques, don't bow to Mecca five times a day and pray, etc., but say that Islam is really peaceful, etc.. don't seem to know the Quran, Hadith, Sunnah, etc.. I can see how prayerful and well-studied the members of Al-Qaeda, Salafists, Muslim Brotherhood, etc., are, and see that their radical and violent version of Islam is the correct version.

ALSO, when bombs go off in India, China, Iraq, London, Madrid, Bali, etc., etc., it's not Mormons, or Quakers, or Catholics, or Episcopalians, or Bahai, etc., then end up being the ones that set off the bombs.

The Olympics are worried about the Jews or Christians or Hindus or even the atheists going to Beijing and blowing up the games. WHY??????

I ate at a Paki restaurant in a muslim part of L.A. a couple of years ago. Very polite service, but the food was AWFUL!

How many muslims really eat only halal food in the USA?

I know for a fact that most who have Christian/Jewish/secular wives eat whatever the wives put in front of them and keep their mouths shut about whether it is halal or not.
