BTW I stopped this recipe in August because I am morally opposed to WF (ya 'rly) and I have not found a suitable replacement.

So I'm open to some ideas.

They're ammo for Eating Disorders.....I mean, why would someone eat real food with nutrition when they can choke down fake dog crap.

I'll admit the maple syrup is really really good and I enjoy it but I'm taking a stand!

I don't think their MO is eating disorders i think it is life extension. A reduced calorie diet has been linked to a longer life span. Look into it, there are quite a few studies

Of course it isn't but then again what razorblade company's MO is for people to disfigure themselves with them? What Alchohol company's MO is for people to become alchoholics?

And you're very right that a calorie defecit lifestyle will allow someone to live a much longer and probably healthier life. My grandparents have been practicing it for about 15 years now and look healthier and younger than they did 20 years ago.

Ha. The title made me think of my fav Keto "snack". Gross but good. Sliced peperoni from the Deli... (it's hotter) and throw some Land O Lakes American cheese (Or whatever cheese you like) on top of it... and microwave until the pepperoni gets slightly crispy and the cheese melts. Who needs pizza.

So ****ing disgustingly unhealthy and so good at the same time.
    1k.

No, after much thinking and planning I've decided that it is not time for KETO - I'm going to be carb cycling I think.

Question - when you say walden farms maple syrup, are you talking about their pancake syrup or do they also make a maple variety? I only see the pancake one on their website.

I always put some sort of syrup in sausage. SOOOo good! Reminds me of the McGriddles (that I'd never eat again due to contents!)

    Thumbs up

Ate my first batch today. Honestly the first few bites my taste buds did a "WTF IS THIS?!?!" then I got used to it and demolished the rest. Gonna eat the other 8oz later today. FWIW I left the beef juice in the dish, which with 75/25 ground chuck it was almost soup-like. Definitely going to be a staple meal for me! Thanks to the OP for the tip.

I use some gravy granules plus balsamic vinegar (it adds a hint of sweetness and some richness) on my beef. Balsamic vinegar is an essential for me - I also splash it and some olive oil on my canned tuna and eat it straight out of the can with a fork.
