Any Bodybuilders with the huge meat under their calf?

Does anyone have any pictures of know what i am talking about. I think the muscle is called the soleus. For example, i THINK Layne Norton has it so his calves don't pop out as much.

Everyone has a soleus muscle, its deep to the gastrocnemius (calf) muscles.

Yea but some people's are really thick and their calves don't show much, and some people's are not thick at all. Just wondering if any pros have really thick ones.

Actually having a thick soleus still makes your calves bigger. From what I understand, especialy width wise...so having a big soleus will make your calves look more impressive from the front views since you'll see them pop out on the sides of the shin. WHereas the gatrocnemius is more of a thickness muscle that makes the calves more impressive from the rear views.

I could be wrong, but I think that's how it goes.

This is what I was going to reply. Your right. It would make them look bigger. The Solius petrudes left to right, so it makes for more impressive front views. I have nice Solius muscles and it adds a lot to the legs, from the side view also.

Mines pretty thick, makes the calf look really long which I suppose takes away from the taper of the leg.

Having the soleus really makes a big positive difference. Even with the upper calves being well developed, you'll look like you have chicken legs without it. If I'm remembering right, Branch has really thick soleus muscles and it really fills out his legs.
