intrabolic, xtend and purple wraath ...can you compare?

I take xtend intraworkout now but am now running low on product. I was thinking of trying one of the other two instead. Are they comparable products to use intra workout?

If so , what would you recommend?

I've used all 3 a couple times each, but decided to simply put all my money on IntrAbolic in the coming year.

IntrAbolic even by name gives you the idea that it was properly designed for intraworkout purpose and it really has written the book on intraworkout nutrition...more Leucine, the muscle amino acid king; more beta-alanine, for more carnosine as well as more, well actually the only one with the industry's highest quality whey hydrolysate for more absorption, more insulin and more anabolism in a very synergistic formula I do love sipping on during workouts.

20 workouts worth where you get many of the best nutrients to build muscle is a great deal that would last most people at least a month or more...

I highly recommend the new Citrus Ice if you can get your hands on it.... tastes great and refreshing cold with ice.

IntrAbolic also has no mixing issues like I have had with the others and most similar products I have tried with BCAA's/EAA's... the perfect mixing surprises me and actually the entire IntrAbolic formula is simply too perfect to pass up. It really should be a top 3 product here without question.

How is CORE ABC not involved in this discussion. 10G BCAA's, 2.5G of Beta, Alanine, Glutamine, and Citrulline Malate!

IMO, it is more properly dosed than the other intra-workout drinks. Intrabolic has no CM, xtend has no BA, and PW is serverly underdosed in BA and CM in their proprietary blend. I have used all of them and think ABC > Intrabolic > Xtend > PW

All of you guys singing praises to Intrabolic should start a band called Intrabolica. I just bought some so I look forward to adding it to my current stack.

I guess when it comes down to it IntrAbolic has the finest quality Whey Hydro and without question the synergism of the whey hydro + added EAA & BCAA's is something special, esp. when it comes to stimulation of muscle growth. That is the something the others lack and the only ingredient that really stands out with highly specific functions for intraworkout supplementation... rapidly absorbed for maximum stimulation of protein synthesis.

Quality Whey Hydro is expensive, very hard to flavor, but also very worth it.

Whey Hydro > Leucine > EAA's > BCAA's > Glutamine when looking at muscle growth stimulation.

Beta-alanine > Citrulline when looking at muscle performance.

Cirtulline may or may not be beneficial and the science is not convincing that it will do anything to improve performance or increase muscle growth...I had been hoping it was, but am still doing some more reading on it, also with the hope more conclusive evidence comes out soon.

Since PW is a prop blend, how do you know it's severely underdosed? It's impossible for you to know, but you can make guesses and that's it.
As for the CM issue, I just add CM to my intrabolic and problem is solved.
I think that in no absolute lifetime that ABC is nowhere NEAR Intrabolic.

    Intrabolic>>>>>>>>>>>>>ABC

it has < 3g BA + CM combined so therefore less than the 5g of BA and CM in ABC.

Adding CM to intrabolic would be a good idea as it already has 3.2g BA in it and a good dose of aminos.

Cirtulline may or may not be beneficial and the science is not convincing that it will do anything to improve performance or increase muscle growth...I had been hoping it was, but am still doing some more reading on it, also with the hope more conclusive evidence comes out soon.
I agree, IntrAbolic is and will remain my during workout supplement.

Some of the keys reasons I believe in IntrAbolic are

    Leucine 5g per serving!
    Beta-Alanine 3.2g per serving

Having the Whey Protein Hydrolysate is a big bonus as well

Here is a little info on the WPH

Q: So can't I simply take any whey hydrolysis and receive the same benefits as IntrAbolic?

No. Not all whey protein hydrolysates (WPH) are created equal as there are large variances in degrees of hydrolysis the whey protein has undergone. A low degree of hydrolysis will leave you with a high amount of inferior polypeptides and little to NO di-and tripeptides. Check the panels of other WPH products and look for the percentage of hydrolysis the whey has undergone. If they do not disclose the degree of hydrolysis on the label be warned as it may be very low. Do not mistake the percentage of how much of the product is WPH for the percentage of hydrolysis the whey has undergone. They are not related. For example, IntrAbolic protein is 100% WPH, but the degree of hydrolysis is over 30%.

Also it is STIM FREE, so I can use it for late night workouts as well as early morning ones.

Hmmmm, that has a nice ring to it, perhaps I should get that trademarked before it is taken

    also,
you could dose it 1/2 as it is dosed strong wth 15-16g aminos per scoop... and it is just an every workout product so it does last long.

    CM,

Any reasons you feel it is worth adding to anything?

This is AENs official stand on CM as of right now.

Quite a few reasons we don't include citrulline malate.

    1. It basically has VERY weak supportive research. The one study that most are basing their dosing protocol(3g 2x day) is looking at performance of FINGER FLECTIONS, a far cry from what we do in the gym(unless you are a keyboard warrior)

    2. If we are to follow the one pretty irrelevant study at 3g 2x day, IntrAbolic would NOT be a good choice of a supplement to use it in, as it's only used on workout days, once.

    3. If there are any aerobic benefits coming from CM, they are likely mostly if not all coming from the malic acid component, not the citrulline.

    4. Anecdotal feedback is good on CM, so I don't discount that, but from a research standpoint, CM does not have anywhere near the evidence for us to use it in formula at the doses used in the one study.

I appreciate how AEN puts out products based on science, not hype... I mean I REALLY APPRECIATE that!!

Regarding reason 1, I can now see why Citrulline has become so popular on bb.com...Finger Flexions FTW!!!

i think hope for CM just goes to show how desperate people are for supplements to work, not that it is a bad thing, but that there is a demand of people looking for anything to give them the edge, even if it is just in the fingers.

btw, Sometimes I feel like a keyboard warrior and all the sexy images that word sums up.

    Some more highlights for IntrAbolic

    1. People, need to LOOK at the amount of amino-acids they are getting in IntrAbolic PER SERVING and compare the same amount of amino-acids in other products and NOT compare IntrAbolic's price per serving to products that have 2-3x LESS amino-acids per serving. IntrAbolic has 15 grams of amino-acids per serving and you DO NOT need to take 2-3 scoops intra-workout like other people do with other products to dose them effectively.

    2. People need to understand that IntrAbolic, has a ultra high, hydrolyzed whey protein, that is over 30% hydrolyzed and provides 70-80% di-and tripeptides, that are even more rapidly absorbed than free form amino acids(ffAA's) and it's WAAAAAY more costly than ffAA's. But it's also better and CONTAINS ALL ESSENTIAL AMINO ACIDS, including tryptophan, which most if not all ffEAA products are missing. Tryptophan is an EAA that is needed for protein synthesis.

    3. IntrAbolic has more beta-alanine per serving, 3.2grams, listed on the label

    4. IntrAbolic has 5grams of leucing per serving, listed on the label

Once the amount of amino-acids per serving, amount of leucine and amount of beta-alanine is taken into account when making comparisons, people will be pleasantly surprised how well IntrAbolic matches up price wise to much lessor products.

I'll tell you what buddy. I like your company and I think Core ABC is far from a worthless product, but if the best argument you can make about it being superior to IntrAbolic is the addition of CM, then I'd say you lose, at least for me personally. I could really give a damn less about the addition of CM in an amino/protein product. If I want CM, I'll buy it so I can dose it how I want.

By the way, I currently have on hand ICE, Wraath, and IntrAbolic, not to mention Vendetta which is carbs+EAA. I use the straight amino products at other times throughout the day, especially when cutting, but they can't really compare to IAB as far as intra-workout supplementation. Good dose of whey hydro, you know you are getting 5g leucine, etc. Lately, I've been mixing Vendetta+IAB and drinking pre/intra-workout and liking it. You could probably just add carbs to IAB and have something similarly effective.

some great points... I also have used EAA/BCAA's for cutting..including an Xtend/PW mix, but we're talking intra-workout here and i just use IntrAbolic for that.
I am currently using Xtend + ON Whey at times during the day for a high BCAA protein...I prefer this than taking pure high dose BCAA due to some possible negative effects of high BCAA's on brain dopamine, etc... at least this way other aminos like tyrosine and phenylalanine are still available for dopamine sythesis when needed.
