Guys i have a tub of PurpleWraath and a bottle of Optimum nutrition 2222 amino acid liquid. I have quite a bit of knowledge on protein, glutamine and creatine but i know hardly anything about amino acids.....i have searched quite a bit about the best time to take amino acids, but i'm only finding conflicting info.....so, i wanted to get your opinion on the best time to take my two times of amino acids. I know that i should take my purplewraath before and during my training sessions, so when would be the best time to take my optimum amino liquid?
How much of my aminos should i take per day?, and is it possible to take too many per day? Also, are amino acids supposed to give you direct energy?
Finally, whats the main difference between Purplewraath and my optimum 2222 liquid amino acids? What makes purplewraath (from what i hear) so much beter?
Thanks for any help!!!

During exercise BCAA oxidation is increased. Supplementing with additional BCAA spares muscle tissue from being broken down to acquire BCAA. Therefore, drinking PurpleWraath around and during your workout is the ideal way to use it. Start sipping your PW 15 minutes prior to the start of your workout (i.e. while driving to the gym).
got it from an article on BB site.

ummm before meals? i wouldnt... jsut bc you are getting sufficient protein from meals if you have a balanced diet... and TBH Amino Acids make up protein.... they are the building blocks for it... Diff AA = diff Protein molecules...
Id take teh AA's Post workout... roughly 1-2 hours after before your after workout meal.. 30min-1hour before... if you comsume the AA's before the meal they will def get absorbed and you will reap the best benefit...

Optimal Timing
I'm not quite sure about the PW but I know a thing or two about amino acids and I've tried different ways of taking it and had different results consequentially.
The best results came when taking the amino acids right after a work out like 20-30 minutes (hit the shower or something) and then taking a protein shake right after. I have tablets so when mine took time to dissolve so I figured it could go hand in and with the shake. I don't really think it matters whether its liquid/ powder or not though.
As for how much to take? I'm taking GNC's AMINO BURST 3000 and the guy told me if I don't want to take amino acids often during the day you just have to take 3 servings of this. I'd suggest looking on the box it self.

IMHO the best time to take this is pre workout along with your whey. If you ate a meal 1-2 hours before training and dropped some whey/bcaa 30-45 minutes before hand, there shouldn't be much reason to take BCAA's afterwards.

I'm unaware of where 85 or 90 percent is, I only know where 0 and 100 percent are.
See, you merely adopted the gym life......I was born in it, moulded by it, I didn't see a rest day until I was already a man.
Bodybuilding is not an endurance sport, stimulate growth with intensity, load and isolation. Then go home and grow.
