    Going heavy isn't the idea on the ball. people using a ball to do their workouts can be doing them for any number of reasons - including physical therapy.

    i use the ball on several occasions because my core is AWEFUL... using the ball helps me engage stabilizing muscles so I don't injure myself and improves my workouts in the long run.

    I really like to do chest excercises on the ball - but light weights as I concentrate on "Stabilizing" my body.
