I Mix Whey With WHOLE Milk

that's right I said it. Not water, not the crappy 1% water milk, but whole milk. Honestly, it's not that big of a deal. Drinking those few ounces of whole milk isn't going to make me some obvious difference in my physique. I'm not going to put on a bunch of pounds of fat, and I'm my diet isn't going to suffer because of it either.

I'm just wondering, do you people actually like to mix it with water or skim milk? I used to mix with water, and it tasted like complete **** somedays. I'd rather have a nice glass of vanillay (made that word up) milk at the expense of a little fat.

Does anyone else mix with whole milk?

Well I mix it with just water in the morning then I mix it with oats and bananas PWO. I would rather mix my protein with what and get my cals and fat from other sources.

I've been taking skim milk/fat free milk for a few years now. I tried whole milk a few months ago. Tastes sooo buttery and disgusting. Personally I have a hard time downing something with such a high fat and carb content compared to skim milk. Then again, I sometimes mix it with water if I'm out of milk. Regardless, I'm beginning my cut to calories count for me.

water in the am cause i jsut chug it down.

Milk before bed and after lifting perferably 2% but have been trying 1% and it aint bad. I am an avid milk drinker 2 gallons a week and will never degrade myself to skim milk.

I've found that if you drink one milk for a while, the other is hard to try. I can't stand skim milk after drink whole my entire life. I figure that since milk with my protein is basically the only other liquid I drink throughout the day besides water, it's not a big deal.

if you want to gain, and are on a bulk, you should certainly go for it. a lot of people are mistaken that bodybuilding always are drinking skim milk, along with egg whites, etc. if they are on a cut, sure its better to go for water or skim milk, but whole milk with protein certainly tastes better, also.

I used to drink whole milk but have been working my way down. I currently drink 1% and I have definitely lost bf since I quit drinking whole milk. You can't just jump from whole to skim because the skim will taste watered down if you are not used to it. I plan on sticking with 1%, skim is a little to much for me.

Also you say a few oz. of milk won't hurt, but how many shakes do you drink a day? I believe one serving of whole milk has 8 grams of fat (correct me if I am wrong) and with 4 shakes a day that is an extra 32 grams of fat which is pretty significant.

OMG- the combo of whey and whole milk would create explosive issues with me. The gas I get from one or both keeps me from being able to do it. Wish I could though.

See I only drink one shake usually, because I have a pretty high protein diet already.

If you only drink one shake it really shouldn't be a big deal then. I drink probably 4 shakes a day. Two will be with 1% and the other 2 will probably be water because I don't have milk around me at school or work. If definitely sucks having to mix with water if you are not used to it.

I'm glad you came out of the closet.

I personally use skim milk. Taste is the least of my priority when it comes to whey. I think many people put too much emphasis on taste which forces companies to depend heavily on artificial sweeteners.

I use skim milk. I don't like milk at all. I tried whole milk and felt like i was going to yak afterwards. If you are able to handle whole milk it would def. be beneficial as opposed to skim on a bulk.

besides the fact that nobody cares..there actually was a study where whole milk was superior to skim for some aspect of protein synthesis post workout. So no need to worry about the fat. Our resident nutrition expert Alan Aragon reviewed the study in one of his research reviews

I'm just wondering, do you people actually like to mix it with water or skim milk? I used to mix with water, and it tasted like complete **** somedays. I'd rather have a nice glass of vanillay (made that word up) milk at the expense of a little fat.

Does anyone else mix with whole milk?
