No bench only in the july and august meets. I tore my ACL one year ago and have not really trained hard or in gear very much in that time period. I have some breifs that I tried for fun once and I got an easy 585 with them. I also have a single ply inzer squat suit that I play around in once and a while and Ive done 635 in that several times.
Never used a mono. Would really love to sometime. I would like to see what I can do in single ply stuff first then if things are going well and Im enjoying it I would go multi ply.
Ive done a push pull a couple times last time I totaled 1129 (f'n sucked, only got my opener on bench)
Right now Im more a bench only guy....Ben Brizendine

1st month after the switch no idea... I couldnt touch any thing I tried.
2nd month an easy 60 lbs
3rd month so far another 40 lbs
I was a pretty good single ply guy. I get an easy 180lbs out my single ply katna (46, I have a 44 that fits pretty tight... will break it in and use it for worlds) So far I think Im getting at least 250 out of the dbl. I expect to get at least 300 - 350 out of dbl ply though...Ben Brizendine

My only critique would be getting your liftoff person's hands AWAY from the bar. It can give a very false sense of security, especially come meet time.
Do you use a 3 person liftoff? If not, I'd highly recommend it. I learned that down at BIG Iron, won't go back. MUCH less stress on the shoulders and less energy wasted on getting the weight settled.
Solid lifting, nonetheless!

I hear you. We went to a 3 man about a month ago and they definatly dont have it down yet.
Usually about 3 weeks out we add in 3 x 3 with our opener and for that no hands etc.... The guys are very new to the sport and they get a little freaked out by the wt.... Thanks again Ryan.Ben Brizendine

Such great advice bro. Ive been stressing about it a little you know. Im a little scared to be honest. Ive went up really fast with the dbl ply the wt's are intimidating. We started the 3 x 3 this week on DE day. Next week Ill be sure to hit those with out the security blanket....
Thanks again!Ben Brizendine

[QUOTE=irnman198;183102041] You are pushing some great wt's! Im looking forward to going back to single ply though. I was stuck around 600 and I think now haveing been handleing so much more wt, I may have broken thru that and can now handle the wt it will take to get the 44 single down to my chest. (That should be about 635 or so.)

de bench
Well normally a DE bench night, I'm about 3 weeks out from the meet. I figured this time (Please correct me if this is wrong thinking) I would take DE bench off till meet time. My forearms are have small issues with the volume I think. So instead I?m adding extra grip work, and 3 x 3 full range with what I think is my opener. That will give me 2 more sessions like this. I?m hoping this will help me heal up and find a solid opener. Find the right opener has been a big issue for me, as equipment has been. In this shirt I cannot touch 545, I feel like I need to be able to touch 3 reps perfect to feel comfortable to open with it. Tonight I tried 3 x 3 at 565.
Meet warm up.
DB hammer curls 55 x 10
Grip work and cuff stretching
Rear delt on pec dec 130 x 10
BB Bench

135 x 30 , two hand positions

495 x 5 2 board
565 x 3 couldnt touch, almost touch, touch and needed help
565 x 2 touch, touch and needed help
565 x 3 almost touch, really close, touch and needed help
So I feel this was a slightly off day. I was feeling alittle weak and slow. hard time warming up and fore arms are weak. Ill try the same wt next monday and see how it goes.

Ive competed in push / pull a couple times. Ive never had the chance to do squats. But am training and plan to do a full meet this year.
My main focus is the bench for the past year. because I tore my ACL this time last year. I didnt get the surgery and rehabed it pretty well, so Im getting the equipment on once a week now and should be going up in wt's...Ben Brizendine

hey man i just got my F6. Wondering if you would know if i cut open the back if i it would let me get it on easier, also toucher easier. I can get it on but the chest plate is really tight. The only bad thing about cutting the back open is if i wanted to try and trade someone for a bigger one, it might screw up the trade

Ive never cut the back out of any of my shirts. Ive been told (and it makes sense to me) that it is easier to break in with the back providing a little help in keeping the shirt in place. I had planned on cutting the back on my double ply, but it is pretty loose so I never was motivated enough to do it.
How tight is the shirt? I think F6's stretch a little more that Katana's and Ragx's. So hopefully that means it will be easier to break in.
Ive been told you just cut the back out, really nothing special about it I dont think.Ben Brizendine
