i just wish UP 2.0 had slightly lower fat content. I appreciate that the good fats slows down digestion but it's a little high..and as has been discussed often on these boards, for those of us sleeping 7 hours or less taking 50 grams of high quality casein before bedtime and then taking high quality whey when you wake up is generally pretty adequate for purposes of keeping your muscles well fed.

So do you mix Choc 1.0 with Choc PB 2.0? Interesting....
Also, so you don't think the type of fat in UP 2.0 are "good fats" or you feel they're good but they don't slow down digestion?
I would be downing 2 scoops of UP 2.0 3X a day if it wasn't for the fat, my taste buds just agree with the flavors more than any other powder.

If you mix use that combo, it will still retain Choc PB 2.0's flavor.

Speaking of... Beverly's Cookies and Creme UMP is super awesome for doing that. One of the best C&C I've had and it turns into a perfect cottage cheese/ pudding consistancy that actually fills me up.

I think a lot of these slow release formulas are highly overrated. Look at the ingredients list, if calcium cassinate and MPC arent the first two proteins listed then you might as well be drinking straight WPC and saving a bucketload of cash.
Lets look at Syntha 6. The first two ingredients in their protein matrix is WPI and WPC. You can bet that under 30% of the protein in this product is MPC/calcium cassinate. So from 40 grams of this protein you may be getting about 10-15grams slow release. Split that up over 8 hours of sleep and you have 2 grams of protein per hour after the WPC/WPI has left the system - this is not going to do much at all.
Bottom line buy some cheap milk protein concentrate/calcium cassinate and consume 50-60 grams prior to bed, giving you 7-8 grams of protein per hour (for a 8 hour sleep)Last edited by bigreezey; 06-20-2008 at 07:23 PM.
